I really like this kid's game. I suspect he'll see a nice ratings bump this fall.

I just watched one of his clips and he doesn't appear to me to be that impressive. Doesn't look overly quick, weird shot, and average athleticism. I feel like he would be the type of kid to really benefit from a redshirt.

Something that needs to be considered is that he shot up 3 inches in the last year. He's been playing the off-guard as a 6'3" kid, then hit his growth spurt.

That's not a thing here anymore.

That shouldn't affect his shot much, idk I just don't think he looks worthy of a scholarship, but I've been wrong before. I don't see this kid blowing up like Griffin or Horton-Tucker.

I like to see who else wants a player. If Cincinnati wants him, then so do I.
Doesn't mean he's a take there. I mean go look at Sherron Dorsey-Walker and Percy Gibson. Had a few bigger offers but didn't mean they were worthy of a scholarship. I just don't see potential in this kid.

It's impossible to offer/sign 13 starters. Sdw and Percy didn't work out great, but Naz, Tyrus, and Hogue sure did.

Right, the staff evaluated him in the summer and liked him as evidenced by the early offer. Considering the "sleeper" recruits that Prohm and coaches have identified early like THT, Conditt, and Griffen that bodes well for Tyrese's game translating.
At this point not to trust Prohm on these lesser known guys.

Completely understand, I guess I'm just not overly impressed with his highlights like I have been with other recruits. Who knows, maybe he's got a great work ethic. I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again.

I do appreciate this staff's ability to find under-the-radar guys who pop up soon thereafter. Nice to get some of them to sign, though, and keep the Wiggi and Lewis pipeline flowing. I do not really care where and how they get talent as long as they get it.

If he is a legit 6'6", I could see him providing some mismatches at guard. His outside shot is a little awkward, but he his midrange game and drives to the basket appear to be solid. For 6'6" he has a really good handle and excellent court vision. I also think he has good quickness for his length and that length could create issues on D.

I agree with this evaluation based on the clips I saw as well, but I do see some decent upside. At 6'6 he looks like a true 3 which has been gold for Iowa State as he can be a versatile front court/perimeter mismatch player. He definitely needs some development, but if he works on his shot, rounds out his inside/outside game he could be of high value to us.

That's not how this works. We offer, they visit and we claim they should see a bump in rating. Then they commit somewhere else and we say they were overrated. You just jumped the gun. You will learn.
