Well poop. That was always going to be tough hanging on to him once they offered. Also lol at Nebraska still thinking they're above offering him.
I don't think Alabama is going to be nearly as dominant in the post-Saban era as they were for a while. People quickly forget how bad Alabama was before Saban got there. The downside of playing in the SEC is that if it will be real easy to fall off the horse if you have a couple down years.
Right when Alabama offered and how he was talking about them, I assumed he was no longer ours. No way we can really compete right now with the SEC schools. Well except Vandy and a few others.
Its fine, I'm pretty sure our QB room is looking really solid for a while and CMC can definitely find another solid addition.
Bummer. How many 9-4 seasons will DeBoer get before they move onto a new coach?
Will he get a new ranking boost post Bama commit? I'm sure.
Obviously, I'm very biased, but If his dream is to play in the NFL, I think he'd be better off being the man at Big 12 Iowa State than riding the bench at SEC Alabama.
Much of Brock Purdy's success in the NFL is because he had over 40 starts in the Big 12. Good luck getting that at Bama.

I'll say what I always say. At the end of the day, if he doesn't want to be in here 100%, I'd rather not have him here at all. You're either all in or you aren't, was pretty obvious he wasn't from day 1.
You knew this was coming, tough to lose sleep over HS school recruits these days. He will either be a future NFL qb that wins the job fairly quickly once he gets there or be in the portal in 2 years, not a lot of in between these days.
Iowa State has Brock but just recently from Bama there’s been Hurts, Tua, Max Jones off the top of my head. Jones at least got his 1st rd money even tho he sucks

The fact that you automatically assume he’s going to ride the bench at Alabama for one. He might but you cannot say that with certainty.
Alabama, If he is good enough to win the job has a decent track record putting guys in the league.
