Curious if anyone has any preferences for post-workout recovery drinks. We've been using AfterGlow. Not bad, just wondering what else is out there and what some opinions might be.

Is that code for hang-over?

I think you should consult #9, but you might have to ask him to take a break from beating the Hawkeyes.

Actually, did anyone here ever read how Michael Jordan used to drink 4 or 5 beers after games to quickly rehydrate?

Cardio or weights workout? When I do really long runs, I drink a ton of water and then eat something like a banana and some cottage cheese. When I used to lift a lot more, I drank a Optimum Nutrition whey protein shake.

I do a lot of bicycle riding, time trials, etc. Chocolate milk is the way to go. It's a lot cheaper than the high priced recovery drinks.

Optimum Whey Protein Classic, 2lbs, 18.99. You can get it at Hy Vee even. Don't get Strawberry, horrible.

I use GNC's Whey Protein shakes for my recovery drink.

My brother-in-law also uses GNC's "Black Powder" before he works out that is supposed to aid in recovery even before you start working out. I'm thinking about adding that to my regimen.
