Really, really bad day.

The 'rage' thread got me thinking. Ever had one of those days that just goes bad, bad, baaaad? Everything within 50 feet of you goes sour? I had one of those today. It starts out all chipper because it's my birthday but then one phone call re: a new federal policy that really messes with how we successfully export a valuable Iowa product opens the flood gates of cr*pdom. More export issues that are not easily solved. Then, employees (and people in general) that just need to be sent to timeout for about a year. Then I hit a deer as I'm trying to get from one appointment to another. Then cell-phone-store-purgatory because cell phone keeps insisting it's January 17 - their answer = there's nothing wrong with it.

Thank heavens I don't have a sister to run into my garage door and let my dog out or I would have lost it and I'd need bail about now. (that's a shout out to cytech for his pain and suffering a couple days ago).

Cheer me up. Tell me about your most epic bad day.

My day was pretty rough.

Found a mistake that will cost me $42,000.

Ate hot dogs for supper...just to get used to it.

probably not my worst day, but worst I can think of atm

long day at work after which I was supposed to run to one side of town to get husband's Xmas gift. Called them at 3:30 (get off work 4:30) and it wasn't in. Decide I would go home and take a nap.

2 miles from home I get run into while I'm stopped at a red light. Guy has no insurance, no license and find out later he has a rap sheet including battery, theft, multiple DUIs, bad checks and on and on.

Finally get home, sit down, and get a call saying my husband's gift came in at 4pm and I could have gone and gotten it instead of being at that light. I just started laughing, probably scared the guy a lot. Plus it was a bad day to be female, so anger was magnified.

Hell no...if I would have I wouldnt be able to call this a mistake.
What he'll cost me will likely be alot more.

Lets just call this a 'equipment and- or machinery' mistake happened a couple years ago that I
just found out about and now will have to pay for.

Good thing HY-Vee has Jacks pizza on sale.

happy birthday!! hope it has gotten better since you posted this

The husband knows how to butter the bread. He magically appeared with a giant box of Stam's Chocolate. And, removed the deer hide form the automobile crevices. That's his job, take the dead birds, etc., out of the automobile grill, and dispatch of the snakes. And I kill the spiders.
It's look'n up!

I think it is a good sign I at first thought of bad days at the daycare I worked at. There were days the infant room had them all crying at the top of their lungs for most of the day and anything we tried didn't work.

But really, not to depress people, that Friday in August tops it.

I sat my butt down tonight and made a list of the things I'm thankful for. That helps cure a bad day.

Maybe birthdays have a weird/mysterious twist for people who are adopted. Lots of emotions all tied up with the day your feet fist hit the ground. Or, maybe this was really a life lesson that simply said DON'T LEAVE THE DADBURN HOUSE ON YOUR BIRTHDAY. Sleep in. Take the phone off the hook. Slow down.
