Re: Rashad Vaughn

I loved when they had the little clip of Babb saying he wouldn't want to play anywhere else but Hilton. So glad he came here.

Nothing specific to your post, but I find your CF handle hilarious. I'm not sure why, but it made me lol. So thank you for that.

Ahhh.....I wouldn't Babb to play anywhere else. It sucks knowing that next week is his last home game. I've loved watching all of our seniors play.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Just read on ESPN insider a good article that mentioned Rashad Vaughn. It is about Blue Chip Battles. It gives the programs they believe the recruit will go to and the dark horse team that could grab the recruit.

Favorites for Vaughn are: UNC, Kentucky and Florida.
Darkhorse: ISU

I wonder if they pulled all that out of their *** or of it's based on anything. I have a guess as to which.

Ya who knows. But Rashad has said many times that the best game atmosphere he's been to is at Hilton. Also our style of play fits him well

Re: Rashad Vaughn

That is a pretty loose definition of recruiting win then. Maybe Roy won by default, but at the end of the day, I can't count a guy who ended up playing 4 years for Roy as a recruiting win over the man.

Somebody had said ISU never beats Roy for a recruit. My point was ISU (Floyd) did beat Roy for a recruit with Heinrich. We just lost him when Floyd left for the NBA.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

From Yahoo Sports....

Several more 2014, 2015, and 2016 prospects are coming to Chapel Hill this weekend as well, as both of UNC's top two 2014 shooting guard targets, Theo Pinson of Greensboro and Rashad Vaughn of Minnesota will be at the game. It would seem that Pinson and Vaughn are currently UNC's top two remaining prospects at the 'two' guard spot, and one of them could very well take that scholarship in the coming months and become a Tar Heel.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

I vote for Pinson going to UNC.

Don't know why, the odds are against us...but I just feel in my gut that Vaughn is coming to ISU. Don't underestimate three factors....playing in Hilton...playing for a guy like Hoiberg....playing relatively close to home.

Maybe you have some inside info, but this doesn't match the comments from Floyd & Roy at the time. Heinrich was more committed to Floyd than to ISU. Floyd pretty much knew that KH would be looking for a different school after he left.

Roy claims that Floyd called him and told him that he knew of a player (KH) that would be a good fit for his program. Roy hadn't been recruiting him and didn't even really know who he was. He decided to take a look based on Floyd's recommendation, liked what he saw, and made landing him a top priority.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

The only advantage we have over UNC is that ISU is much closer to home, and playing for Fred Hoiberg over Roy Williams IMO.

Some players might not think playing for Fred would be better than Roy Williams, but for me it wouldn't even be close. Roy Williams is just a slimeball used car salesman type of guy IMO.

I wonder if pointing to Harrison Barnes would be a negative or a positive for UNC.

He couldn't really have done a lot worse with his talents and he fell to #7 in the draft, but that isn't all that bad. However, Barnes was projected to go #1. If he went to ISU and showcased his talent as a bigger part of the offense with more freedom, he couldn't have possibly gone lower and likely would have gone much higher.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

The way Rashad describes his game is very much what Fred love's to run so the transition would be really smooth to Play for ISU and Coach Hoiberg and staff. Williams is losing his swag. I would love to see Vaughn in a Cyclone Uniform.
