So I'm not sure we want to stack our program's recent history up against UNLV. At best, it's a toss-up.
Really? UNLV has made the tourney 6 of the last 7 years, by my count. Last year they were a 5 seed. In 2012, they were a 6 seed. That's higher than ISU in both years. And as for head-to-head, you have to go all the way back to last year to find the last UNLV victory over ISU.
So I'm not sure we want to stack our program's recent history up against UNLV. At best, it's a toss-up.

This makes sense. Also, if Barnes had announced a half hour before a home game in Ames High gym would people really go to that instead? I guess in Ames you could make it to both.

If your from Vegas constantly reeling in 4-5 stars and in that ****** of a conference, making the tournament should be expected. Losing the first game of the tournament isn't acceptable with that talent.

So a 6:30 announcement really wouldn't rule anyone out...if I got the times right, RV knows what he is doing, he would impress Teddy KGB with his lack of tells. Good for him, enjoy it.

Arguing that UNLV has underachieved is different than arguing that UNLV wins with more regularity. But both can be true.

I wasn't stacking up our program's success up against UNLV's. Simply saying that as of recently(Hoiberg era) Iowa St. has been a winning program. Not just this current year.
Obviously they too have success, including a National Championship.

Just pointing out that nobody from Vaughn's camp has confirmed this time/location is accurate. Normally a recruit this big would be publicizing his decision on twitter once it's set up.
