Re: Rashad Vaughn

Fred said you were a ****. I just asked.

Twocoach your in the Cyclone house so have some respect. We don't need your continuing passive statements. You've made your point so move on back to your Kansas forum if you can't stop with your jabs. Bigs, Bigs, Bigs. We got it.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

This Rashad Vaughn guy intrigues me. What is his story? Is ISU recruiting him? He looks okay at basketball.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Don't be lazy. WHY does ISU rely on their perimeter players needing to have good games every game?

Because this is the style of play Fred has chosen with the talent available in order to put the team in the best position to win games. If he had a couple 5 star centers I'm sure he would change his style a little.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

The kid is one big highlight reel. Seriously if we land this kid we will be a legit top 5 team with the front court we will have next year.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

He hasn't been far off on his analysis and is not being a troll...there are far worse on here that are ISU fans. Seriously, get your panties out of a bunch if you can't take a little opinion and constructive criticisim of our team. I realize he's a KU fan and I dislike them as much as anyone, but he's been fair.

Playing against length hasn't hurt us as much as playing against size. We need size and speed in Fred's system in order to compete against everyone week and and week out. Those 6'9" guys that can run the floor are hard to find. It's been evident that on 2nd and 3rd chance points, our lack of size has hindered to make up for our lack of outside shooting performance.

When ISU was consistently beating Kansas the Cyclones were known for their bigs that had those giant shoulders like Fizer. Roy Williams always had tall, skinny guys who he liked to run all game and those big bruisers at ISU always opened a can of whoopa$$ on them and pushed them around. Those teams also had elite guards in Tinsley and were a nightmare to play. That's the best I remember ISU being and should be the target in my opinion. Those teams were nasty. Just my opinion...

Re: Rashad Vaughn

If you respect Fred as a man and coach, not sure why you are cool with people making fun of his kids on a cyclone website. Guess you are too cool to care. Each their own I suppose.

How on earth would I know that those are Fred Hoiberg's KIDS?!? I googled "Iowa State fans crying" to find a picture to go with all the crying over the refs some ISU fans were doing on here and that was what came up. Good grief... some people will get their blood pressure up over anything. Have a beer and a laugh and don't take this so seriously.

Well, if you are a Kansas fan one assumes you watched the game last year where his kids were shown crying during the overtime.

I am confused as to why you are even posting in this thread. You come in and say some snide comments about Iowa State, try and act superior in your basketball knowledge, and are just generally trying to be a pain in the ***.

I appreciate the effort, but why bother? Doesn't Kansas have a board you can go discuss Vaughn and how he's not good enough for Kansas? (That is until he signs with Kansas and then he'll be the best thing ever!!)

Lets get a few things straight. But for the grace of god (and the corruptness of the officials in the 2nd game), Kansas would have been 1-2 against Iowa State last year. Let's not act like Kansas has dominated Iowa State in every way in the Hoiberg era. They've won the games and that is indeed what matters in the end, but Iowa State has played well against Kansas and the lack of bigs hasn't been why they have lost.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

This thread has gotten out of control and needs to end. The topic has gone astray.

...Scrath that. The UNC Tarheel forum is catching up on Rashad. We are ahead. Whoever has the most pages on Rashad will get him to sign. I just talked with Roy and Fred and Rashad agreed. We've got a few more weeks.

The challenge has been posted on the UNC forums. Let's Go Cyclones !

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Shirley and Rancik. Two 6-10 guys who could play. We win the big 12 if we had them this year.
