There is another option. Go buy/build another house quickly so it will be someone else's problem!

the guy asked how long we plan to live here, he's like if you're planning to move in 4-5 years, just mudjack it and don't bother. But since we plan to stay, want to think about the long term.

Was filling out a questionnaire for a design/build firm last week and they had the "How long you plan on living here" question. Haven't sent it in but thought of answering "Don't know, haven't looked at actuary tables lately."

Drove through the rain to South Dakota Saturday for the vixen's aunt's funeral. Listened to the game on the way home, gnashing my teeth most of the time. The overtime was crazy....reviews, fumbles, near sacks, time outs, etc.

And then I get home and the third overtime didn't get recorded on the DVR. I added the 30 minute extension, but it was about 10 minutes too short. Grrrr...........

@ImJustKCClone, you and I would be basket cases if we watched together. Lew and the vixen would just stand back and shake their heads and pretend they didn't know us. :)

I suppose it is probably cheaper and easier in the long run to fix it than to move...

Oh so earlier this spring I had noticed a sharp pain in my shoulder while doing push ups. Clearly that meant to not do them so I stopped and the pain went away. Over the last month it progressively got worse I think due to playing frisbee golf with a buddy. So I finally gave in and made an appt. Of course by the day of the appt on Friday the pain was gone so I cancelled it. Sunday the pain came back. F me.

Okay, skeptical of the highlight but the rest IS how guys deal with stuff. Man card intact!

Note to self: Do shoulder rehab exercises tonight with my cute little pink dumbbell.

She never said "I'll be back" but she is back.

I did the same thing, but we started the game about an hour late and almost got caught up to real time. The recording ran out and I switched to the actual coverage just in time to see the touchdown being reviewed. We didn't even see the fumble that Purdy recovered.

I noticed Fiber One brownies are now 70 calories when they used to be 90
I figured they just made them smaller. They changed something because they used to be pretty good. Now they're pretty dry.

I may go crazy the next 7 business days. AP Close for the fiscal year. I need to tell my techs to have the work orders created. Tell my vendors to tell me how much the August stuff was.

AHHHH

Add "The end of the fiscal year" to my list of stuff I do not miss.

I didn't mind the pressure associated with managing other agencies funding that truly expired Sept. 30th since I was the responsible party for those. However, the pressure to obligate or expend our own agencies funds, that do not actually expire, was just ******** and based mostly on meaningless performance metrics. Whether you awarded a contract in September or a little later in October using the same pool of funds is, in the big scheme of things, meaningless.

Things you don't see everyday. Neighbors fancy Lamborghini Diablo getting loaded onto a flatbed. Not sure why it was taking a ride, it was running and moving. Hope he didn't sell it, I like hearing the rumble of that V-12 and knowing the guys behind me hate it (the guys who don't really speak to me anymore).

Opens mail and finds letter from insurance company saying they are exiting the individual policy biz. I've had my car insurance with them since college and house insurance since 1986. Bummer.

Not exactly sure.
I got to repo one vehicle. It was like the van in fast times. Thankfully the guy came up with a couple hundred bucks and we let them keep it. Don’t know if I would have made it back.
