Question for the women. What is it about your chromosomes that’s makes you drive so goddamn fast through parking lots yet so ******* slow on entrance ramps. I’m trying not to be misogynist but you gotta be better.

A-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-nd now it's on.
Agreed. This is going to end well.

By the way, Mrs. Velo informed me that our SIL (her brother's wife) told her that she dated a policeman once and he informed her that she doesn't legally have to stop for stop signs in parking lots so she has just blown right through them every since. "Not legally having to stop" isn't going help her much when she ends up hitting a pedestrian some day and it comes out that there was a stop sign there.

You can take the girl out of Missourah, but...

Yeah, there may be data out there that says men are in more accidents, but I don’t think it includes parking lots. The Trader Joe’s on 6th and Colorado in Denver. My god, it’s like Dante’s 4th level of hell.

To be clear, my anecdote was an indictment of one woman, not any person who carries two X chromosomes.

I also marked up the dishwasher sign in our break room at work today with the correct form of run (it should be the PAST PARTICIPLE which is run, not ran) and pissed off the office manager. I need some weed.

We found one (ground squirrel) in the dryer vent when we were living in Ames. We were moving the dryer so we have no idea how long it had been in there. Luckily ours was mummified. My daughter has shown she has no problem drowning problem pests. She says she feels a little bad about doing it but she is a gamer.
I tried the board to bucket drowning thing once. My ground squirrels are too smart for me. I also have far too many of them and their holes all around the house.

I was just going to suggest that.

I'm so glad it's Friday. It's getting really difficult to get up any enthusiasm to come to work anymore. Don't get me wrong - I like my job, and I work for an incredibly wonderful family, but it's so defeating when you have such an a$$hole for a supervisor.

And the tough part is, we have 14 very talented, willing people here.....and they're all disillusioned and defeated by this guy's crap. We even wrote letters to senior management explaining our issues, and nothing happened. No, that's not exactly right. It actually got worse.

Sorry to throw cold water on everybody's Friday. I'm going to go home and have a few gin and tonics and let it roll off me.

Seriously, what the **** was I thinking looking at the weather that showed SW 8 mph breeze. Got out and thought, "Damn, this is windy." Get back and check and it's gusting to 24 mph again. I am a ******* wind magnet and I HATE the wind.

Here’s what welcomed me home in my garage this afternoon. Stupid rodents. Also bad pic because he’s under a little red wagon.
