Woof, enough of that yard work nonsense in this heat. Mowed, pruned, weeded, transplanted stuff. DND. Cool down and rehydrate time.

Ah, air conditioning. :D

Friend of mine from college is now a pastor. He flew this weekend from FL to OH to officiate the wedding of a good friend(s) of his. Was just doing a 24 hour turnaround so that he could be back at his church come Sunday morning. Flight delays, missed connection in CLT, yada yada. Anyway! He needed to get a car rental to drive the hour from Ft Lauderdale to Jupiter. The car they gave him?

A bright yellow Ford Mustang convertible.

It would have been fun, but not exactly low key for not attracting attention. Wonder if the congregation liked it?

Just channel flipped into a NOVA episode about going back to the moon. Got me thinking. If, in 1969 after landing on the moon, you had told 17 year old Boxster that 50 years later no one had left low earth orbit in 47 years and we hadn't even tried to go to Mars he would have been kinda shocked. Close as we have come is fiction like Mark Watney. Not even going to happen in my lifetime.

Well work pretty much owned me today. Should have had more water with me 32 oz between 11-5 wasn't enough. 64 oz and a 1.5 driving and some AC left me much improved. Taking a chilled down Thermos with me tomorrow, supposed to be toasty again.

I'm still holding out hope. Based on my family's longevity they have about 30 years to git'r'dun....

Haven't tuned in Austin City Limits in years but saw the lead in featuring Rhiannon Giddens, who I'd never heard of, and it prompted me to stay tuned. Damn, gal can bring it. I've heard of her now fo sure! Her big band was tight to.

Spent Saturday and Sunday with my buddy Jeff building a deck for some friends of ours. We couldn't put the water into us as fast as it came out. But we got a lot done.

Yesterday I got home about 2PM (we started about 8AM) and decided I'd better mow, too, or it was going to get out of hand. Mowed the front yard and gave up. Too dang hot. I'll finish the back yard tonight after work.

It's not that weird. OJ helped expose the fact it didn't even happen in 1969.

I did the back Saturday morning. After being up all night Saturday night I wasn't going to mow Sunday so I should try and get the front and sides done tonight.

I just came in here because I wanted to show you all my sweet new bumper sticker, but then decided against it.
My wife and I were walking around Anoka Riverfest on Saturday and we discovered that my wife's small tattoo on her foot is not nearly adequate to be hanging around at Anoka Riverfest. @cycloneG will probably understand this post.

Something I have been thinking about lately. When we tell people that we have 2 dogs, they always say, whats wrong with you? Are you crazy? But, if we said we had 2 kids, nobody would bat an eye.

Now, Im not sayong there isnt something wrong with us or that we arent crazy, just something I have noticed.

Try having 2 dogs and 3 kids and see the reactions you get

You need to get yourself a 2 gallon jug, throw a couple of trays of ice cubes in it and fill it with water. Can't have enough water with you when working in weather like this

Well, that James Bond thread didn't last long. I just added my mocking and sarcastic take and it was gone like a fart in the wind. I assume it must have escalated to something beyond the silly it started with? Did it get moved to Da Cave or just get vaporized? I don't Cave.

Caved. Reading that thread, I must have been about the only person who enjoyed the Daniel Craig Bond. Think the new direction will be cool to see.

Two things -

Neighbor's garage was broken into over the weekend. So that's kinda scary. Another house in our neighborhood as well. We found one of their garage openers in our lawn.

Then talking to parent and getting update on niece........new parent made a comment about being tired..........when they are sleeping at home at night right now with baby still here. They haven't even had to try feeding or diapering yet. I'm like oh boy, this could be quite the shock to the system when baby comes home! I wonder if anyone has told them the baby will poop overnight........multiple times..........

No thread for Amazon prime day/other competing thingies. We actually have stuff to get this year or watch at least. The phone I had my eye on (the S10) is part of it. Need to look at vacuum and car seat. Something else, oh, laptop type thing. Never did get one before he was born.
