I can look at things one of two ways.
A. I was lazy and still didn't buy another lawnmower
B. I was strong and resisted the urge to spend $1,100 on a lawnmower

Remember, pay with cash. Or else you are being antiCF. I would assume you would anyhow, single men are loaded. It’s why us married men always borrow your stuff, we have no money to buy anything. I’m still living off all the things I bought before marriage, I have many things loaned out.

Single men are always loaded?
Why didn't someone tell me this sooner?

Long story short, I was looking at a downtown map of NYC on Google Maps. I was quite surprised to see that there's a Home Depot there.

Also, I understand fast food chains existing in NYC, but other chains? Outback? Applebees? Especially with the internet nowadays, you'd think people could find good local food at a price range they're agreeable with. /rant

Is anything tougher than a hosta? I think they could survive a nuclear attack.

Some varieties. Your toughness may vary! The old school Hosta lancifolia will still be here with the cockroaches and ants after all animal life is gone.

The west side of my house is so shady even the hostas struggle. I have had a number of fancy schmancy varieties croak on me in various spots around the yard. On-Stage and Fire-and-Ice among the fancies. I have a LOT of hostas.

Comment on Alfred Hitchcock: "He has more chins than a Chinese phonebook."

(Apologies in advance for ethnic humor.)

Along these lines Jeongeun Lee6 (aka Lee Jeongeun) won the women's LPGA Open the other day.

“There’s six different players who have the same name, Jeongeun Lee,” Lee6 explained after her win. “It goes by 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. I’m the sixth Jeongeun Lee player, and that’s why they put it down as Jeongeun Lee6. But this is my lucky number too, so I would love to put it down as Lee6 as my last name.”

The South Korean gals own golf right now.

Mid-morning observations.

House wrens are noisy little son of a guns.

It's REALLY nice outside.

I should be mowing or something yardish.

Damn, my house is mess.

Hostas are great, because they 1) Grow well 2) Require little to no care (they can withstand even the most severe drought, at least mine can) 3) Can be dug up and replanted almost endlessly.

I guess I would have to do research to find out what kinds I have - the ones in front have all green leaves with long stalks that produce pale purple blossoms in mid-summer. The ones in back have leaves that are dark green in the center with yellow-green edges, and shorter stalks with white blossoms.

But yeah, they are great for filling space and such.

I know what most of mine are but have four that I do not know and have a lot of them. Decades ago I got divisions from my neighbors who had gotten them from their friend Wilkie. I just call them Big Green Wilkie, Blue Wilkie, Variated Wilkie and Big Giant Wilkie, aka Big Boy Wilkie. :)

In addition to the four "Hosta Wilkies" I do have Montana, Lancifolia, Ginko Craig , Patriot, Minuteman, Krossa Regal, Stained Glass, Fire-and-Ice, Blue Mouse Ears, June, Paul's Glory, Dream Queen, Sum & Substance, Guacamole, Inniswood, Striptease, Vulcan, Ventricola, Frances William, Francee, and Golden Tiara.

Did I mention i have a REALLY shady lot?
