My biggest thing is I need accountability to make sure I work out and work out well. MrsWx had said she was going to start working out with me but that was a little over a month ago now...

That helps a lot. It's more fun with other people, too.
I don't mind struggling on my own sometimes, but it's nice to be with other people pushing.

Ran with my kids for a science fair project. Then played football and basketball against the son while the daughter pitched to the wife at the school. That may have killed me off, time to get back in shape.

I have read the story of the SR-71 crew doing the ground speed check enough times to want to get the book that it comes from, Sled Driver. But I have yet to see it listed for under $250, I may just have to find a PDF of it.
