I never really got into the game threads that much; they move too quickly, and if I try to pay attention to them I can't focus on the game. And the investment some people have in winning or losing is just a lot to take.

Same with the Badgers game threads on reddit. I can keep up, but they are way too serious. I like to make light hearted jokes and puns and just get destroyed. It happens here too. I love my teams, maybe not as much as some, but it helps to have a laugh once in a while.

Page 5 guys, really?

Anyway, I asked her out and she said yes. Seemed generally excited about it too. We had brunch yesterday. I thought it went well. I may have moved too quickly though in asking for her number and then later a second date. Got hit with the "appreciate the offer, but not looking to go out with anyone right now." She does have a lot on her plate right now with family stuff, so I get it if that truly is the case.

If she just wasn't feeling it with me, I think I'd rather be told that. It only lasted an hour, it can take a little while for me to relax and really open up to someone, so that probably was a factor. There's a lot more I wish we could've talked about. I am nervous about seeing her again, because I know I will.

And in case you're wondering, the other girl seems to have ghosted me, which honestly is fine, she has some habits that I'm really not compatible with.

"Only" an hour? That's impressive man.

The incessant negativity is just too much for me. Not everything is going to go perfectly. I think that is a given for 95% of any team's games. You'd think people would know that going in and be able to handle their emotions even just a little bit.

I finally got to sit in or near our seats since one person in our group was missing. Son has been taking mine and I have been a nomad every game up until this one. There was a guy sitting two rows in front of us a couple of seats over who was very loudly criticizing everything that didn't go perfectly. By halftime he was regularly booing our team. Yeah, you would like it to go better, but you are booing your team for being down 7 at the half? I was not quiet about saying he needed to have a little perspective. Get a grip, dude. From then on he was booing whenever something went wrong and sat in silence whenever everyone else was celebrating something going right. He left after UCF's last TD and most in the section were saying good riddance. I was glad for him that he missed the comeback victory because it was clear that he was more interested in being right that ISU was terrible than in celebrating a win. It probably would have crushed him.

Some people aren't satisfied if they don't score a TD on every possession.

Funny. There's just more I wish we could've talked about. She's a weather nerd like me, and even started out studying meteorology. Kinda regretting not talking about that more.

She bartends Friday and Saturday nights at a local place I go to occasionally, which i had no idea she worked there, I usually only go during the week when it's not busy. Now I feel like if I go there and she's working, it'll send the wrong message.

Because I am somewhat lazy and haven't found the answer yet. When does GA parking go on sale for the Tech game?
