I lead a team at work and one of my new reports said she prefers if when an email chain has reached its conclusions if I'm the last person to respond to her that I've received her response. Like this isn't messages being carried by pigeons or being telegraphed over a wire, assume I've received your response and am appropriately appreciative.
No, The work over there started this morning. My internet was out due to that storm that blew through Wednesday. Pretty sure there are still people without power in Omaha

Weird summer. Rain, rain, rain. We set all time low rainfall for six of the twelve months since 2020 so I was pretty used to drought times.
Odd sidebar. No slugs eating up my hostas. Wondering if the droughtski years knocked back the population? Would have thought all of this wet would have been ideal for them. Rabbits and deer have taken up the damage slack.

My cousin had fraternal twins born today, a girl and a boy, Lainey Andrew and Brooks Kyle, we're trying to figure out which name belongs to which baby.
It's been an amazing 5 days with out of state family in town. So much uncle time. My heart is full and happy.
Favorite part of the out of town crew coming is when we do family pictures so I can get a group photo of me with all my nieces and nephews.

Lainey is the girl, Brooks is the boy. Really don't understand the Andrew middle name though.
Finally made it to DFW today. Moved to a different hotel this time after a suggestion from a coworker. Even better it JUST finished getting remodeled and I am fairly certain I am the first person to be in this room.
