Hissing Poopers fits too.

In Manchester, IA along the Maquoketa walking trail they put up silhouetted cut outs of coyotes to scare off the geese.

It's kind of weird but it seems to work.
Yeah, they have those at one of the elementary schools up here. I have heard no comments either way on their effectiveness.

Neighbor across the street had her HS grad party Saturday. Luckily it was dry when went over and helped them set up. However it started sprinkling for the first hour and by the time it was done it was a healthy rain.

Had to go to another party after 5. It was dry when we got there but soon started sprinkling and then was a constant rain. One guy we know from soccer was giving daughter a hard time because she wouldn't go get their car for them. He finally left and he wasn't 50 feet down the street and God decided the ark was complete enough. I snickered.

We were under a 10x20 tent on the driveway at a stand up cocktail table. I was about a foot from the edge of the tent but the splash had my pant legs wet half way up my calf. It let up a bit by the time we left.

Yesterday we heard a loud noise and we looked across the street to see the two 10x20's (the solid rental kind, not pop-ups, but they own them) neighbors had left set up to dry had blown over in the wind so Mrs. Velo and I were wrestling them in the wind to save them. One bent pole was the sum of the damage. They were lucky the one leg didn't go clear through the top on the other tent. At one point that leg was pushing up on it and the tarp was bearing the entire weight of the canopy.

Neighbors invited us over for grill dinner last night to thank us for all of the help in the last week on the reception. Ulterior motive was to get rid of more left overs. ;) But we have some good neighbors.

Not exactly sure.
Wife talked to the nurses at the MIL care center the other day. She had a heart attack a month ago. Two other ladies had them within a day of her also. Only one survived. Most likely since two nurses were with her when it happened. Wife feels fortunate that it was her mom.

From season 3 comes out in the fall. It seems like forever since season 2 but it's only been a year.

On that note, flipped over to the 24 Hours of LeMans and of course it was raining.
pretty crazy that after 24 hours the results were closer than most f1 races. I'd love to go some day. I went to 12 hours of Sebring and it was the best racing I've ever seen.
