This reminds me of when I filled in on a co-workers beer league softball team and got ejected for the most exaggerated and clearly joking around bat flip I've ever done. I literally didn't understand other people were taking the game seriously lol.

I played rec league kickball maybe once with some friends a long time ago but the behaviors were too much.

It was something that was fun at first and then people actually started caring and it led to weird arguments.

The same thing happened in basketball. I played a couple of seasons but knew I was done my last year when I started to sit the bench most of the game voluntarily. I usually would play as much as possible to get a good work out but a couple of guys took it too far and it was just too toxic.

Went for a two mile walk through the neighborhood at 8:30 and counted 13 rabbits in people's yards. It's a damn bunny rat population boom. Need a harsher winter or more fox and coyotes.

In the post apocalypse hunter/gatherer world, Hunter Boxster would have brought home a lot of rabbit.
You would look good in a rabbit fur winter hat...

Been seeing a lot as well.

Give it three weeks and they'll be dwindled down in numbers.

And those owls might need a thicker branch for their weight gain.

The adult owls maybe got on the young rabbits earlier but not enough. Not sure a Barred Owl could take some of the HUGE rabbits I saw.

I think owls are basically Batman at this stuff.

That sun goes down and it's time to go to work.

Sparrow Hawks etc too.

I HATE HATE HATE remodeling. If I had my way, I'd just buy a new house every 10 years. Well we've been in this house(new in 2005) for 19 years and my bathroom needed to be updated about 18 years ago. Typical hall bath that had countertops/shower/toilet made for little people and everything else very generic. After the tear out, we discovered that the previous builder put the dryer vent underneath the tub. They finally got it completed yesterday and I'm very happy with the results but my god it was painful getting to this point. PXL_20240529_162850881-COLLAGE.jpg GridArt_20240717_164235608.jpg

The EXACT same thing happened with my parents this past spring. A little creative construction put the dryer vent under the tub. And yep, they switched from a tub to a walk-in shower, too.

Glad it got finished. Loving the tile walls.

Shower looks nice. I'm going to put in a tile shower later this year.

I was going to do everything at the same level with no lip, but the contractor seem to poo poo that idea. I don't know enough to know
Could be waterproofing issue with attaching the shower door to the floor. I prefer to have a curb. Do you know if they used cement board for the shower walls and what kind of waterproofing membrane was used?

It can be done but it is harder, my folks went floor level on their remodel a few yrs ago.

Haven't had a thunderstorm in a couple of days. So thunderstorming now.

Edit: Well that didn't amount to much, just a bunch of quick rain. Getting a second chance here in about 15 minutes as this small storm is tracking for a repeat.

Schluter? I don't know what that means but they kept mentioning it. I was very impressed with the tiling guys work. I wasn't going to get the bench in the back, but they talked me into it and it was probably the right decision. The hardest part was the 3 weeks my wife and I had to share a bathroom. :)

Everything being taller is so much better. The shower head used to be inches from my head, the vanity was at nut level, and the toilet being taller is nice.

Schluter is a system of waterproofing, roll on membrane and preformed shapes like curbs and niches. Schluter is out of my price range so I'm just going to use cement board, waterproof with redgard, tile over that. Then I'll make a concrete shower pan with pan liner.

I put in a taller toilet in the spring, so much better. And my shower head is at my neck, since I only have 7ft ceilings, so I have this extension arm on it.

Flying to Atlanta on Thursday. I'm supposed to arrive at about 10am and have to wait till 3:30 for my niece.
At least Atlanta has a wide variety of places to eat.

Waiting in the airport or the city?
