From Menards, still waiting for:
Tub surround
Tub glass bypass door
custom cut vanity counter

From Best Buy
small stackable washer/dryer to replace basement monsters.

There is no light.
There is only tunnel.

Oh gosh, KC. Menards? Really? They could **** up a train wreck. Your odds of getting the right merchandise are less than 50-50, based on stories we hear almost every day.

They absolutely hammer that low price thing, but service levels are basically non-existent. My guess is that if your stuff comes in wrong, you'll get nothing from them.

Of course, I hope I'm wrong.

So, I got to Hy-Vee last night after work. Very apprehensive about the whole thing. Wasn't bad at all, parking lot was maybe 3/4 full.

But so many areas empty....not a potato or package of ground beef in the store. Bread aisle looked like a war zone - oddly enough, lots of cinnamon raisin bread there. (!!!!!) Eggs gone. Of course the paper aisle was a ghost town, although I did manage to snag a couple boxes of Kleenex.

Not very much flour or yeast, I suppose lots of folks thinking about baking their own bread. Couldn't find a whole lot for meats, except for steaks and round roasts.

Going to Fareway tonight to see if I can finish my list. I did pick up some whiskey and vodka, the vixen and I are disinfecting ourselves from the inside. :p

I tried to get into Cox on Demand last night and couldn't. I imagine they are getting hammered with all the people home so I had to relegate myself to watching whatever was on. So lots of switching channels.

I work with a guy that's a doomsday prepper type. He started talking about the potential for a quarantine in the middle of February. So much so I decided to just slowly start picking up extra stuff like flour, yeast, frozen vegetables & V8 when I went to the store. I could stay in the house for 2-3 weeks if I had to as long as the electricity held out.

I think we may have better luck with them than you do. It's Lowes that makes us crazy (although I LOVE their "dead plant racks" in the summer season - get a lot of my lilies & other plants cheap that way).

Pants was laughing at me about it, but we're watching DVD's. Doesn't eat up bandwidth, and can play even when Mediacom crashes. Sometimes old school works...at least they're not VHS tapes!

Wish I could get s few sheets of rock delivered. Would repair the basement ceiling that got wrecked for plumbing and HVAC years ago but ain't nobody delivers just three or four sheets. Getting it myself via rental pickup just doesn't fit the social distance stuff especially for me. So, ****, would be something to keep me busy.

Kept myself out of possible trouble the other day when texting a coworker to make sure they were going to be back from vacation (was worried about flights or if they were self quarantined and I didn't know it) She mentioned the flights might be sparsely filled. I DID NOT text back "makes it easier to join the mile high club" sometimes self restraint is a good thing.

There's talk of shutting down the bars and restaurants in Omaha instead of just limiting how many people can go in. I drove past my local tavern yesterday and saw the same vehicles parked in front as always.
The people that will sit there for hours and leave a $2 tip.

I didn't realize Nebraska hadn't put a restaurant ban in effect yet.

And think this whole thing is all made up and just say 'then why don't people just go get tested?'.

So many opportunities for bad TV.

Mortal Kombat circa 1995 on right now. The similarities in terrible dialogue, close ups of fighting scenes in lighting that doesn't exist anywhere between these types of movies (Batman forever) are funny.

Damn, man....wish we were closer. We deliver little orders like that all the time, no charge. Only thing is, we can't carry it inside the house. If it was just a few, you could probably talk the guys

I think I'll pull a flat iron steak out of the freezer tonight. Take a pound of it and make taco meat, the rest cut into strips, add some of my stir fry sauce to marinate and then throw in the freezer for stir fry later on.

Checked about half the stores in this damn county and no TP anywhere. Might have to steal some from work. Should be good through the weekend though
