KU should play Missouri. They won't, but they should. Too much common sense involved in that theory though. No way it happens.

I think the only way they would is if they hosted. Mizzou chose to leave.

I think we'll see West Virginia against Mizzou. Don't let them play anyone that used to be a conference opponent.

Again? Did't they play this past season? They could just leave MU and A$M out if they are worried about that aspect.

Ooops forgot about that. Good catch. hell, leave them out or give them TCU.

I echo the opinions that Tennessee seems the most likely.

If teams cannot play home (or away from home) two straight seasons, that means ISU would play on the road. It also eliminates playing games at SEC schools that hosted last year: Florida, Missouri, Alabama and Mississippi State.

BU and OU were "neutral hosts" in '13 vs. UK and A&M (I assume those 2 SEC's would get home games).

I'm guessing Texas will play at Kentucky. A&M might host someone like West Va. (based on relative conference finish).

That leaves the following (including SEC teams that didn't play in 2013): Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt.

If we got Kentucky or Florida in Hilton that would be the biggest scheduling win for ISU since.....forever.

Let's host Kentucky. Can you imagine what Hilton would be like?

It would be absolutely amazing to get Kentucky or Florida into Hilton.

That said, I doubt it. I bet we'll get a mid-level program like Tennessee, Missouri or Vanderbilt. I would still be happy with either of those teams though. It's awesome to see our non-con scheduling improving. Hopefully ISU can schedule one more quality opponent outside the SEC opponent, Iowa, and the Kansas City tourney.

Edit: Arkansas would be solid too. They still support their program quite well down there.

I'll hold off on saying I hope ISU gets Kentucky until I see who is leaving their team after this season. Quite frankly after watching their center get hurt and then some freshman who hardly played all season gets plugged into the lineup and puts up 10 points and 8 boards in just 15 minutes of playing time against Michigan... yeah... that is when you remember just how loaded Kentucky is.

An NBA Draft site had this to say about Marcus Lee...

Raw PF with supreme athleticism and length ... Runs the floor like a gazelle.
Extremely fluid run/jump athlete ... Very explosive athlete who seems to just be
scratching the surface of his potential ... Has a solid frame to put weight on
and while still very skinny now, his bone structure suggests that he'll be able
to add significant weight without any problems ... Has huge hands, which are
both a positive and negative as his shot seems to have been affected some.
Obviously the positives being that he can control rebounds and palm the ball
very easily ... Has surprising passing ability for a bigman ... Focused, hard
working kid ... Has some nice footwork in the post, utilizing drop steps and
sealing his man. Shows a willingness to play physical despite his lack of body
strength ... Athleticism and length are rare, allowing him to block shots at
their apex ... Gets a lot of put back dunks just due to his great athleticism
and hustle ... Has NBA all star potential if he gets stronger and his offensive
game continues to develop ...

How about Oklahoma win a game in the NCAA tourney before they get to hose Florida at home? First round losses last 2 years.

My guesses are merely based off which teams hosted/went on road last year, final standings this year, avoiding same match-ups as last year, getting even number of home/away per conference, and including the 4 teams from the SEC that didn't play last year.

If we played Kentucky at a neutral site.....would St Louis make sense? It's about half way between.

Kansas played Florida this year, and I believe they are already scheduled to be in a tourney with Kentucky. I would be surprised to see them paired with either of those teams, even though they are projected to be tops.
