I don't like the sudden death aspect (well, as a Steelers fan I was loving it last night, but it's not fair)
But I could do without starting at the 25. They're pros. The best and they should be able to work a full field.
IMO - you give the flip loser at least one possession. If they can't get it done, then it's sudden death. Takes the coin flip out of it a bit.
So in last nights game. Steelers get the FG. But they have to kick it off to Tenn who gets one more possession. If Pitt hadn't scored, punted and Tenn scored - game over. If Pitt punted, Tenn then punted, the Pitt scored - game over. Namely - at least one shot in OT, but not necessarily equal.
I could see the equal thing. But the D's are so good, the kickers so good, you could be OT'ing forever.
