It's too bad the NFL hasn't figure out how to run a successful pro bowl. This game is a complete joke. If they actually played 100% the whole game this would be an amazing game to watch.

The quality of an all-star game depends on the amount of team preparation that's required in the sport. Example: Baseball is really a series of one-on-one matchups more than a true team game, so the "teamwork" level is significantly lower than other professional sports. That's why its all-star game is the best. Football is pretty much the exact opposite with probably the highest teamwork level of any of the "Big Four," so its all-star game will always be the worst.

Can we stop the Andrew Luck MVP talks now? According to this, he isn't even the 6th best QB in the league.

I agree about Briggs and Dez Bryant...both should be there. Also, Julius Peppers had far from a dominant year (but still has 10 sacks) but I'm not sure what else is out there on the D-line.

5 Chiefs. That's on coaching there...there is NO WAY they should have 2 wins.

I wouldn't put too much stock in these rosters as being in any way indicative of who is the best at their respective positions. Fan voting plays a big role in who makes these teams. That's why you see guys get in on name recognition and reputation rather than actual performance.

True, but the NFL gets it much closer than MLB or the NBA.

I still stand by what I said about Luck. Great year, good player...but no where close to the MVP.

I thought the Colts would do better than last year, but nowhere near where they are now

I agree with you. But keep in mind the core of this team won 10+ games every year with Manning so they weren't complete crap like their 2011 record suggests.

Also, look at their schedule. They've beat 2 teams with a winning record: Minnesota and Green Bay. They've only played 3 other teams with a winning record: Chicago, 21-41 L. New England, 24-59 L. Houston, 17-29 L.

I give them credit because making the playoffs in the NFL isn't that easy but its much easier when you play 5 teams with winning records all season (will be 6 after week 17).

Only 2 Steelers listed and 0 on defense. This is the first year since the 2000 Pro Bowl that there have been no Steelers on defense. Maybe they will get an alternate.

No wonder they missed the playoffs for the first time in a while. GAH!

Maybe the ghost of Tebow past was still haunting them this year :jimlad:

Yeah, they also have a case of the OLDs especially on D. It doesn't help that their OL is horrendous and will eventually get their starting QB killed. Hopefully they can rebuild without going completely in the tank.

Not sure how Greenway wasn't selected. He was leading the NFL in tackles for a lot of the season and is currently 2nd.

No Chad Greenway?! Thats awful. He's one of the best linebackers in the game and has 145 tackles this year.

Not sure how Greenway wasn't selected. He was leading the NFL in tackles for a lot of the season and is currently 2nd.

tackles are not even close to an official statistic. Every team counts them in their own way, by their own standards, and submits their totals to the league at the end of games.

I like Greenway as much as any Vikings fan, but don't hang your hat on tackle counts. They mean very, very little.

Greenway was selected as an alternate so he still may get in...

Kansas City Chiefs: 2-13 record, 5 Pro Bowl selections
Atlanta Falcons: 13-2 record, 3 Pro Bowl selections

Further proof as to why I cannot take the Pro Bowl seriously.
