If you go back and watch these passes and their placement, it's a lot less of a "50-50" ball because Kempt is putting it in a place where the WR has a substantially higher chance of getting the ball.
How does a defense figure out a jump ball passing attack? Not being sarcastic or anything, just curious. I know if the corners are undersized and can't man up the receivers you can play your safeties deep and roll coverages to one side or the other, but if you do that aren't you leaving the entire middle of the field wide open?
Zone trail technique by your corners with a safety rolled over the top to take away the back shoulder pass to our tall and physical receivers. Hard to leave the box short-handed though with David Montgomery in the backfield. Kempt is so polished in diagnosing that 1 on 1 matchup though and giving his receivers a chance to make a play downfield. Can't double team everything.
WVUs home record in Big 12 play is near .500. it's not THAT tough of a place to play.I'll take ISU 30 WVU 20. Underrated road win. Morgantown is a tough road trip.
I downed 3 beers in about 20 minutes during the 4th quarter last week.
Probably something similar tomorrow.
Big day for Montgomery 150yds rushing another 50 catching and 2 TDS, Lazard, Marchie, Butler with TD catches and +2 in TO... ISU 38 WVU 27.
