I don't know if Grant has interests in med school or not, but the idea that just because he's a History major means he isn't going to Med School is among the dumber things I've read on this site.

Best of luck to him. I've had a couple classes with the him, and he's an excellent student and a really nice guy. He'll be able to find an excellent career outside of sports someday.

Edit: Also, Grant is a history major, so the med school rumor on here is not true.

Yea, son also had a history class with him and echoes this view. Good guy, good student. Wish him nothing but the best.

He'd have a boatload of prep classes to take. It's possible, but a huge delay on getting anywhere.
That said, he easily has the ability to do that if he wants to. He's one of the best-prepared students I've seen yet.

I suppose it's possible but usually when you want to go to medical school you'd probably want to major in something related to medicine. Maybe he has a minor in something related but it would certainly be rare for a history major to go to med school.

Not exactly sure.
My niece is looking at med school. She was told by a college advisor to have a math major, she's very strong at math in the first place. She was told that med schools take a few from each major that applies, biology the most, but a few from each area and not very many math major apply for med school admittance. So it is possible he followed that avenue.

He didn't. I've talked with him a lot and that was never mentioned. He's planned on grad school, and the n he'll likely walk into a pretty nice job.

Checked the roster, Grant is no longer listed. Didn't see (or not see, actually) any others, but I don't know the full roster inside and out (no major missing names.)

Few things - first good luck to Rohach. I wish he had gotten the nod earlier this year as he has been more consistent than Richardson. That said, I'm on the Lan-Ram train.

Secondly, I went from Civil Engineering/Enviro emphasis and practiced for four years, and THEN went to med school & am now a Hospitalist. The Current MCAT has a lot more social studies/non-medical thinking and reasoning on it then when I took it. For what it's worth, being a history major will not hold him back as long as he gets his math/science pre-req's in. :)

I am sure there will be a few more departures, and some are going to hurt, but as someone else said, when you a 3-9 there are very few irreplaceable players, and most of those have already said they are staying or are redshirted seniors next year. Some of the guys on the ledge may step back after they know who their position coaches are going to be. I feel like there will be at least one defensive guy retained from CPR staff. I like that there is a new strength coach and new OL coach, and for that matter QB coach. Just seems like CPRs teams had a lot of injuries to linemen and the way the offense disappeared in the second half of games makes me wonder how well conditioned the starters were. The coaching was pretty suspect in the second half of games, but the inability to pick up a 3rd or 4th and one near the end of a game really doomed this years team.

Loved Grant's comeback win at WVU, but IMO his greatest win was the 2013 Kansas game:

That is some serious cold weather cred. Seems like a perfect calling card for transferring to Minnesota, where they are breaking in a new OC this coming year. They play outdoors, and there have been a few cold weather games at The Bank.

Or how about NDSU, so he could travel to Iowa City on opening day next year?
