I upped from $500 to $2500 keeping my 3 football tickets. Plan to up men's basketball from 2 to 4.

In my opinion, reindexing of seats is absolutely the right thing to do and is long overdue. This is a major way to increase money desperately needed for the success of our programs. In the mid-90's, I upped my donation from $250 to $1500 and requested improved seating in men's basketball. When I recevied my season tickets, I actually moved from row 13 in the balcony to row 11 in the balcony. After my wife and I personally met with then AD Gene Smith and Peter Taylor, they explained that there were no seats open in the $1500 club and the policy was not to move anyone if they're giving at the level of their seats so there were no open seats in the $1000 section either. So the seats I was assigned were in the back of the $500 club. I pleaded with Gene to establish a reindexing plan to incent people to give more money in exchange for improved seating and his response, which I'll never forget, was "I'm not willing to take that bullet". He didn't want to upset the long-time givers that might have to pay more money or move seats. So kudos to Jamie Pollard for "taking that bullet" and doing what's right for Iowa State. In my opinion, this needs to be done on a regular...probably every 3 year...basis. If this thread is indicative at all, ISU will be significantly increasing donations and season ticket sales. I know there are some that have chosen to cease giving a donation and have not renewed their season tickets due to this change. Please, please, please reconsider. We desperately need money to fund the programs, hire the coaches, build the facilities, and attract the athletes we need to have the success we want to have at Iowa State. If we had consistent success in football, then money would begin flowing in as a result and everything would be great. But we've waited for consistent success for 100 years and it hasn't come. So I think it's time for a change. Let's put our faith in our administration, our coaches, and our athletes by taking a leap of faith and contributing more money, buying more tickets and supporting ISU. For those that have chosen to pull support from Iowa State, please get in the car and come to any game you can. Buy a ticket from the box office that day (or even from a scalper), enjoy the best tailgating in the country, and fill a seat at Jack Trice to support your favorite team, the Iowa State Cyclones!

Great to see all the support in this thread. If there is a minimal decrease in season tickets (which I'm not sure there will be), the extra revenue is going to more than make up the difference.

I could see 1000 less season tickets sold this year, but an increase in revenue and then with a solid season this fall, next year will go off the charts!

My wife and I finally got around to joining the National Cyclone Club, kept the same # of tickets, and got a parking pass all to ourselves ( no more picking people up at Hy-Vee).

I still haven't bought but hopefully will be able to get my seats. It was a rough winter to be in construction sales. I will be upping to $250 to keep my seats and don't mind paying more. I will probably never be an upper level giver but I will always buy season tickets. If I have to move it's OK. We don't sit by the people we tailgate with anyway.

Same donation and changed seats (due to construction) from the Cypack seats (sec 1) to full price tickets where I will be sitting is yet to be determined.

Boony, I farm a little and own an ag business. I have a feeling we might get a few more farmers buying tickets this year. For the first time in my lifetime it seems agriculture is doing well while the overall economy is struggling. Our tailgate is made up of mostly ag related guys so if you are looking for somewhere to stop look for parking lot B4. The only drawback is someone might try to sell you something.

Looking around the Hy-Vee parking lot on game day, I could tell we weren't the only ones that did that . I'm sure Hy-Vee doesn't mind, meeting in their parking lot for tailgating surely leads to some beer and food sales!

We will still be using the Hy-Vee parking lot this year, as we have one parking pass but we will be arriving in Ames in 2 vehicles. Oh well, no biggie.

We use HyVee too. After a 2 1/2 hour drive, their restrooms are much better than the porta-potties! We always make a purchase at HyVee, so I don't feel too bad about it.

Yeah, well I bet the porta-potties are better than the bathroom at your son's last college apartment!

I moved my money from the College of Engineering to fund the additional donation. They called on Thursday night for the engineering donation. They were'nt too happy when I told them they'd have to call Jamie. I asked them if they wanted me to get his number. The poor young student was a little flustered. But in the end it's not an infinite pool of resources.

I am planning on upgrading to the Century Level because the National Cyclone Club no longer offers the Varsity Level. I plan on buying two tickets again.

First time buyer! Since I have lived in Texas since graduating, never bought season tickets. Through my business I decided that this year I needed to donate and get 10 season tickets that will be distributed locally to the underprivileged to use...

Not sure what your business situation is, but good job outta you!

And I hope by 'underprivileged' you don't mean 'hawkeye fans' or 'husker fans'!

I guess if that were the case you would've said 'under-educated'.

I had to up my donation because they got rid of the gold plus and i wanted to keep my seats. 4 tickets and captains club now. What upsets me is that they changed S7 to club parking. We are moving over to S6. not that big of a deal i guess.

I am a farmer and things are going good so i gave some extra cash.

we meet with friends in kmart parking lot. That works great. less crowded than the hyvee and jump on s. 16th and drive right into the parking lot.

I think one point needs to be made about being in the Cyclone Club and donation level. The donation level applies to ALL Cyclone sports and credit is given for ALL Cyclone season ticket purchases.
