He came to ISU so he could get a job like IU. Let's hope he gets some results here before he bolts.

I think it's way too early for him to leave. He has a lot of projects in the works and none have been finished. He has certainly made a world of difference but the results on several key initiatives are still out so it's hard to judge him fully for a couple more years.

A job like IU??? That school has HALF of the football fan base of ISU - it's a tough job for anyone. Basketball expectations are way too high (even Knight fell off big-time his last five years there), and their budget doesn't do justice to all of their sports. Outside of maybe NW, it's the most challenging AD job in the Big Ten; a step down from Iowa State.

He has things left to accomplish here. He has said he is a builder. There are things left to build. He'll always have job opportunities. He is good and people know it.

If JP is offered the job and goes so be it - nothing for us to do. I used to think that losing Gene Smith would be the worst thing for ISU and it did prove that like any job if you make a hiring mistake (BVD) it's bad but then we got JP. ISU has a load of potential and there are others out there that would love a chance to take up where JP left off.

Indiana is a school that is THANKING GOD for the Big Ten's equal revenue sharing $$ - otherwise they would never make it at the level they're at.

Indiana would be a step up from ISU.

However, it's strongly hurt Pollard's image to leave ISU while he's starting so much stuff.

can those of you saying Indiana would NOT be a step down from IState please justify. im not willing to jump your opinion, but at this point i dont see that its such a substantial step up as some of you are indicating.
