Wonder how much this is going to cost to resurface the basketball court?

While Corteva Agriscience™ will be the corporate brand name upon the separation of the division from DowDuPont, the company will continue to offer products under a number of the most recognized and premium brands in agriculture: Pioneer®, Mycogen®, the newly launched Brevant™ Seeds, and its award-winning Crop Protection products, such as Aproach® Prima fungicide and Quelex™ herbicide with Arylex™ active, as well as others it will introduce as it brings new products to market.

If the sponsorship is purely from the Pioneer brand standpoint, there would be no impact.

The DuPont Pioneer portion of the logo would be gone though.

I’ve been through this rebranding stuff before. They will integrate Corteva into all existing brands in one form or another.

I think Corteva sounds like a drug. Maybe that's the point

Yeah that name doesn't really roll off the tounge.

The intended Agriculture company, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, will assume the name Corteva Agriscience (pronounced: kohr-`teh-vah), which is based on a combination of words meaning “heart” and “nature.”

Not to be confused with Corvus the Bayer herbicide or Clariva a Syngenta seed treatment. Smash those two together and you get.....

Corviva....maybe that's what they were going for. ;) Or how Corteva will be pronounced south of the boarder.

As an employee, I’m less than thrilled with the name. Corteva Agriscience? Why not Pioneer Agriscience.

I don’t give a **** about our other new brands like Mycogen. There’s a reason their market share has sucked for years

My guess is that they couldn’t use Pioneer in the name, as the Regulatory approval for the Dow-DuPont merger was creating 3 separate companies. Now we know that the other two companies are going to keep their legacy logos and names (Dow and DuPont). My guess is that “Pioneer” still identified in many markets as a “DuPont Company” (even though growers and Pioneer employees know that isn’t really the case) so it had to be dropped as a company name and be relegated to a brand of products.

Not doubting that at all. It’s just disappointing. Pioneer has been in the name since 1935.

Side effects may include.. nausea, numbness, mental retardation. Wait this isn't a drug?

I don't understand big companies buying a company because they've done good things and then wanting to change everything. Yep, good plan guys.

Well, you also don’t understand anything so it’s not surprising.

This merger happened so Pioneer can be the largest Agricultural company in the world with 19 billion in revenue annually through seed, crop protection, and digital Ag.

I get it, buy up the market to try and cover your dumb mistakes. There is no need to rebrand other than arrogance.

Technically, wouldn't Pioneer be a business division in "the largest agricultural company in the world?"
