From an interview with the Iowa State Daily. I get what he's saying, but are the people in Johnny's and the Sukup Endzone flat-out slobs too?

He talks about fans being drunker if they start selling alcohol and I just don’t see that happening. It would help keep fans in their seats too so the stands wouldn’t be empty for the 3rd quarter.

I do agree with him that our concessions wouldn’t be able to handle it.

I'm not interested enough to actually click the link, but as someone who was on the AD's custodial crew for quite a while, I can undoubtedly say: yes. The folks in Johnny's, JTC, and Sukup are absolutely slobs.

He seems to be on the post game drunkenness, which there is way more pregame than post game drunkenness. Maybe he should have stated "Iowa fans are flatout slobs" instead. Sure seems there are more issues with that game than other games.

I think he is being extremely hyperbolic - for someone that researches so many topics related to the athletic department - I would think if these major issues were prevalent other College / Pro teams would stop selling alcohol at games. I think most reports that I have seen point to the opposite experience - also funny that he tries to pass the buck, I guarantee if JP said he wanted to sell alcohol, they could sell alcohol.

Of course they could. The taps, er cans, are open and flowing at the other two Regents Universities.

No just the poors that can't afford premium seating.
