There definitely seems to be more parking available at this point in the process compared to last year.
Wouldn't be surprised at all if season ticket numbers are down with the price increase and less than thrilling home schedule. I was on the fence of whether or not to renew and a month after the deadline the athletic department called to say it's not too late if I still wanted my seats. Not sure if that's standard practice but it kind of seemed like an attempt to drum up sales. I ultimately did end up renewing but had they not called I wouldn't have. Usually by now they are touting how many tickets have been sold and nothing has been said that I've seen.

Hoks fans have been experiencing this for decades.

Parking was the only thing that was the biggest issue for me in keeping my tickets the last few years, they go really high if available at all.

My issue is we have so many weekend sports with my kids that 1 or both of me and my wife have to skip half the games because kids sports, so either I am going alone or not going depending on if I find someone else that wants to go, and doesnt already have tickets.

Then I figured that I could probably buy tickets to most or all games cheaper than what I was having to give for donation and tickets even in similar sections to our season tickets.

I was tired of having to sell my tickets below face or give them away, If I cant go, and then talking to friends that bought tickets for peanuts, while I pay thousands. And at the same time skipping several of my kids games to go to Football games and having to go alone to some.

I decided to let them go this year and have had multiple phone calls asking me to donate/buy. I figure I can go to several games and still save at least $1k this year.

Last year tickets in my section regularly sold for around $100, (give or take) outside the Iowa game. 2 tickets at $100 times 6 games is $1200. That doesnt even cover my donation let alone my tickets. Why should I pay $3k+ for tickets when I can get them for less than half.

I'd agree. That said, total number of donors in the Cardinal & Gold levels are up a few from last year's numbers, just based on those reported here. States is down 18 donors & victory is down 5. Don't think I've seen 2024 numbers for Directors, Captains or Century.

So unless they're not updating those total donor amounts on the Cyclones.com login splash screen, overall number of donors is about the same as last year.

For the first time in 9 years, we will not be in the same lot. I dropped down a donation as it wasn't worth it to me any more. Next your I'm sure they will be more decisions to make.

Given that season ticket revenue is now a much smaller portion of the athletic department's budget than it used to be (due to the massive increase in TV revenue), I think it would be a mistake if the athletic dept decided to make significant increases in ticket prices and minimum donation levels. If they did, I think a fair number of season ticket holders would tap out and the net increase in revenue would be small. The last thing they want to see is empty seats in Jack Trice.

Good news is the donation levels and prices stayed the same and we get a extra game this year.

Was just able to snag a C1/C2 at 11:30. Should only be ~300-350 Cardinal donors left, and all of those won't have a parking pass.

They haven't sent out info on basketball yet. I'm expecting a 20% increase in cost this year to renew

Based on my memory from last year, all the ticket prices are 50 bucks a ticket more this year anyway.
