1st episode I caught was Freak Show premiere and I'm hooked. Started watching 1st season on Netflix too this week. Definitely see some tie ins between season and 1 and Freak Show already. I thought I read somewhere that the seasons do tie together somewhat around Elsa's character. I did see the clown in the pilot episode so there's definitely a tie in there.

At the "quarter point" of this season and I'm really finding it difficult to get into this season. I really dig psychological horror - freak show slasher just really isn't doing it for me. I get that AHS is all about horror cliche, but this season seems to be going way beyond cliche. Still time to turn it around, but I'm just not excited about watching at this point.

This season isn't really doing for me either and I'm a huge fan of the series. I wish they would stick to one or two story lines and really develop those. It's just all over and sometimes you don't see anything from one of the story lines for an entire episode.

The clown and his friend, great opportunity for some creepy sh**. Get that story line going.
The actual travelling freak show, develop that.

Edward Mordrake randomly appearing, could've done without it, or would've preferred more crazy clown. Just not a great story line.
This weird history insight on the bearded lady. It's like they want us to become emotionaly invested in her but it's just not working out.
In general I think they are trying to develop too many of the characters from the freak show too. The two headed lady, the bearded lady, lobster man, Elsa Mars. Rather than really develop one or a few of them they touch on all of them and it's so little that I don't feel any connection to any of them.

I keep thinking every episode that they'll really dig into the creepy clown's story. Or the two headed girls crazy half. I guess I'm just not sure what the main conflict is right now.

Exactly, the show is all over the place and rather than end up with a great story line right now they're at a hot messy pile of nothing.

The problem is they haven't defined whose story this is. In Murder House it was the family. In Asylum it was the reporter, the boy, and the nun. Whose story is Freak Show? The clown? Mars? The bearded lady? Her son? The two-headed lady? In the other two you knew right away at least where the story was going. Here, you're 1/4 the way through the season and there's no defined direction.

Dumb, that kid is just an idiot and not going to be scary. If that's all from the clown, who they made look like a little *****, then I'm going to be disappointed.
