I really wanna know what it takes to get stall calls like it does down in Stillwater. Not saying these weren't the correct calls but the ref today is calling them 10 times quicker then against OU.

Well something bad happened to Boo. He’s done. Think he may have re-injures the shoulder but they cut away.

OSU wrestler hurt in the 3rd. Flo cut away. He was up 9-4 on Degen. You could just hear him in pain. Hope he is ok.

I think Gomez should’ve won that match. No idea how fix only had one stall call against him the whole match and then didn’t get called at the end. Important thing is Austin is closing the gap and improving. Also love how Parker is wrestling

Dislocated his shoulder. Probably done for the season. Hate to see that happen.

Final Score 22-15

22-15. Improvement!

Gomez had a real shot to win too

Definitely improvement. Gomez almost pulled out the win by getting the leg at the end, just ran out of time. The real score should have been 25-9. Looking forward to getting back at the Pokes in the conference tourney.

Also, the scheduling was pretty dumb by the Big 12. Okie state has had the week off and got to wrestle at home. Iowa state had to make weight Friday, travel Saturday, make weight Sunday. That can drain on some guys (I have a feeling this might’ve affected Colbray as well)

OSU- great counter attacks. Those blast doubles on the re-shots caused us problems in several matches

OSU- haven’t been in good shape for the last 15 years. J Smith is the master of getting his guys timely breaks.

ISU- I’m still impressed. Parker looked great.

Gomez is figuring Fix out. He can win on his feet.

Colbray- continued to show explosiveness. He needs to get some swagger. I think as his confidence grows he will show even more. Has to believe he can beat these top guys. That said his oppemt Smith is no slouch. Kid looked darn tough.

Gremmel- looked like the game planned to keep it close and he did a good job in staying out of bad positions.

Coleman- not much to comment on. He got man handled in pretty short order.

Alex- as someone stated above you gotta like the kid. He wouldn’t give up the pin. I thought he was a goner. He’s athletic and has some explosiveness but the top guys have some mat game that he can’t match.

Overall: we are light years ahead in year 2 than anything I could have imagined. I don’t remember Dressers Va Tech teammate being this hard nosed and aggressive. I think we are seeing some of the influences from Metcalf and St John. Great complements to Dresser.
