Good Fellas had a great soundtrack including Layla by Derick and the Dominos

Some others were the Stones' Gimme Shelter and Monkey Man, Cream Sunshine of Your Love, The Who Magic Bus and George Harrison What is Life. I think I could watch that movie every week.

My parents had an interesting parenting method of sitting us kids down, individually, and watching movies as a way to teach us life lessons. Sometimes I knew what the lesson was, like when dad had me watch 'Escape from Alcatraz' with him, which to me meant keep your nose clean or you'll end up in prison. Other times I didn't, like when mom sat me down and we watched 'The Goodbye Girl' together. But the song for the movie has always stayed with me.

When I went to ISU they used to show movies in Carver Hall for free. My girlfriend at the time and I watched this movie there. We’ve been married for 43 years. I’ve always liked the movie and the song, but I’m not sure what lesson your mom had in mind!
