Welcome back to “On That Note,” CF’s weekly music exploration, co-hosted by @MeanDean, @cyclones500 and myself.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, we came up with a fitting theme. This week, we are looking at songs with Heart in the title (it can be in the lyrics, too, but MUST be part of the song title). We’ll allow any form of the word (for example, “heartbreak” would be fair game). Also allowed: songs by artists with the word heart in their name.

Last Week: (I'm In With) The In Crowd

Happy Birthday Dear Heartache by Barbara Mandrell (a #3 Billboard and #1 Cashbox country hit in 1984).

Heart On The Mend by Sylvia (a #8 Billboard country hit from 1981).

Radio Heart by Charly McClain (a #1 Billboard country hit from 1985).

Heartbreaker by Dolly Parton (a #1 Billboard country hit from 1978).

He's A Heartache (Looking For A Place To Happen) by Janie Fricke (a #1 Billboard country hit from 1983 - AND a video of her performance from Solid Gold. Diggin the headband, Janie! Surely, the headband is what won Janie her second CMA Female Vocalist award that same year...

I looked through every page and I don't *think* I saw this one... apologies if I missed it on another page!

Tell It To My Heart by Taylor Dayne

Also, Cross My Heart by Eighth Wonder, the group led by the girl who was in Lethal Weapon 2: Patsy Kensit. This song was also recorded by Martika in 1989.

More country...

Hand Over Your Heart by Lorrie Morgan, an album cut from "Something In Red." Morgan has so many fun little bops like this hidden on her early albums that never were released as singles. While I liked what was played on the radio, the albums were fun to listen to because there was so much ear-friendly stuff packed in them.

Cross My Broken Heart by Suzy Bogguss (#14 Billboard country hit in 1989).

Better Your Heart Than Mine by Trisha Yearwood (#21 Billboard country hit in 1994).

If Your Heart Ain't Busy Tonight by Tanya Tucker (#4 Billboard country hit in 1992).
