Hey, it's another week and another segment on music we call "On That Note." OTN is a weekly music post hosted by @cyclones500, @CycloneRulzzz and myself.

This week the topic is legacy artists. That is, family inter-generational musical successes. For purposes of this post we're limiting it to Parent-child, Grandparent-grandchild, Or Aunt/Uncle-Niece/Nephew. Since there are so many brother acts, sister acts and brother/sister acts we are NOT including them for this one.

Thanks @HFCS for the topic idea we're using this week!!

Please post a cut by both generations when you contribute - thanks.

Repeat artist postings are okay. Please pick different songs if you do that. Thanks

Last week's OTN, Eat to the Beat can be found here:

Uncle Butch Trucks on drums prominent in the shuffle that propels this song, and the drummers even get their own little space (break) on this one.

Nephew Derek Trucks co-fronting his own band.

Jimmy Reed/Jimmie Reed Jr.

This is a bit of a stretch as far as 'fame' for the offspring. Jimmy Reed is a well known and prolific Blues legend. His son, Jimmie Reed Jr appears to have had only a single 45 released at which time (1967) it was ignored. I'm not a huge fan of the Northern Soul movement/genre specifically but this one is somewhat legendary to those who are. I do like it but will never own one as it can't be touched on Ebay for under $150.

"And now, in the tradition of Frank and Nancy Sinatra..."

I saw this on TV when it aired on a late Sat night music show (hosted by David Sanborn), probably in the late 80s--and thought, who is this guy and how does get that unearthly sound out of his guitar?
