Two of my favorite long songs are Layla and Rosalita. However, they are only a little over seven minutes long. You set that 8 minute limit on purpose so that I couldn't mention those two, didn't you?

Yes, specifically for that reason :)

I figured a few samples in the 7-minute range would sneak in, regardless of restrictions. (MeanDean's "Hey Jude" and "MacArthur Park" are cases in point :)) So you can post those if you want. I figured I'd set it high enough so if people wanted to "cheat," we weren't getting too far down into the 6-minute range, where there is a far larger pool from which to draw.

Ah, the good old days of cruising around town all night listening to KAAY.

Several of the "long song" staples have been mentioned but there are others.....

Many of my longest tunes are long jazz jam sessions. But there are a few songs that are up in that long stratosphere.

This one's from 2012, to prove that long songs aren't exclusive to the 70s.

Another more modern epic song from 2008. Even the radio edit was almost 5 minutes.
Just a solid groove with a lot of soul to it.

This song has always given me eargasms. Miles Davis is one of my all time musical idols. Such a smooth song.

Alright this next song goes out to the guy who keeps yelling from the balcony. It's called "We Hate You Please Die."
