A few other “longy favorites" of mine.

Wilco (2004)
--> This one is on my “cyclones500 Recommended Road-Trip Songlist" (TM)

Neil Young and Crazy Horse (1969)

Bob Dylan (1965)

(Not an official video, but audio is)

Here are three of my favorite short songs.

Even in a 2 minute song, Paul Simon's lyrical genius shines through.

On the other end of the spectrum, here's 2 great songs by the Ramones:
This one's slightly over 2 minutes but does include one of the most recognizable open lines of any song, "Hey. Ho. Let's go!"

Here's the another fun one.

The actual music in this video is only 2 minutes long, but there's a little intro.

BTW, I love all of the music from this movie if you couldn't tell. Sex Bob-Omb would be one of my favorite bands if they actually had a real album. Pretty sure Beck wrote all of the music for the movie and he's just a genius.

"This one's called Launchpad McQuack"

Still amazed that we had a station in town (KGGO) that would play these songs in their entirety, clocking in at 8:14 and 14:37. I don't subscribe to Nugent's politics, but man he could play.

Agreed. Nugent is a tool, but he could play some guitar.

The video is NSFW and the lyrics may not be as well, so I'll just drop the title. Pillow Talking by Lil Dicky

Underrated band that had a lot more to offer than just the singles they had early success with.

Back to the 70s. Modern CDs break this up into 7 tracks but it's really one epic song with 7 interwoven parts.

The kings of Prog Rock, The Holy Triumvirate, RUSH!

A couple more short ones:

RIP, Grant Hart

And speaking of the Minutemen, I read an interview with Mike Watt where he says that Wire was a big influence on their song writing:

If we're allowed to extract songs from that Abbey Road suite for the under-2, I'd go with "Mean Mr. Mustard." (Can't find a suitable audio link at the moment. Not easy to swipe authentic Beatles clips online).

Trivia Snippet: Mean Mr. Mustard is one of only two Beatles tracks on which McCartney played fuzz-bass. Can anyone name the other?
