No, I clearly said our TEs will struggle with what we lost, but i think our wrs step up this year based on what we have coming back and waiting in the wings. It is simply better than what we have had in a long time.

You lost your best WR from last year

Just 1 honestly, I stop by from time to time when I am bored. Point out the hypocrisy, cause a defensive pissing contest, which I usually point out the obvious and what is wrong with most statements, and leave.
Ah yes, the know it all wisdom of Hawkeye fans is the best. Thank you for learning us football.

Oh, I know, but we have some athletes that have some skills waiting in the wings. Has not been like that for a while. Also with Martin we have a guy that is ready to step in and be in the rotation too. We have at least 5 guys that will and can see the field. Has not been like that in a long time for WR at Iowa. We can redshirt most guys in the incoming class and create some depth. I am excited to see if Copeland can change the tide so to speak. Because I think he is the guy to do just that.

What athletes do you have in the wings? That Nico kid will be your best WR next year

But can your fat QB get them the ball? Chunkles was really impressive throwing 50/50 balls to two NFL TE's

While I see your point, I think you're forgetting to understand that the 2nd and 4th best production receivers that Iowa State has coming back were putting up better numbers than Iowa's 2nd and 3rd receivers. Also, the grad transfer that we got would have been the most productive receiver on Iowa's roster last year. Now that Hakeem is gone, production numbers should increase a bit more for those guys. Iowa's offense has and probably always will be about getting the tight ends into the game somehow. Iowa's receivers are not all of a sudden going to get a ton of production because that's not how they do things. Their tight ends will still be used more this year even though they are not going to be house known names.

I think Iowa WRs production will increase this year, probably not at an ISU level because that is not how we run the offense, but better.

Your pass catchers this year will be significantly worse than your pass catchers last year. You at least agree with that right?

Tracy is a guy that is not what we are used to either. Those 2 guys are different than what Iowa has had in a while. I am excited to see if they produce, Martin is also an athlete that fits Iowa well. Throw in ISM and Smith and that is 5 guys that are more athletic that Iowa has had in a while at WR.

ISU has a ton of football knowledge to give too, lets not put Iowa on a pedestal
Look, we haven't been great at football in the past, I think everyone on here can admit that.. But we've been pretty good as of late, are bringing in great recruits, and are getting nationally recognized by plenty of outlets. All I've seen is Iowa fans full of jealousy because it's not their show anymore. I've never seen Hawk fans (not particularly you) like this before. It's comical.

You do realize that Matt Campbell has made it very clear that he does not want to build his offesnses like the rest of the Big12? So I am not sure what you are meaning by the offense. Having a Hakeem Butler to throw the ball to when you need a big play or something breaks down makes it hard not to use him, however, so they didn't make the full push to CMCs hoped style. I think that is just a crutch for you to point at lesser statistics and say, "ah, well, we run more"

TE = drop off, WR = increased production. Remains to be seen with regards to being significant drop off in production. That is up to how the running game and offensive philosophy plays out during the year.

Life without two NFL TE's isn't going to be easy but hey we have (lol) athletes....

That's fair to say. I will say this, if Iowa had a more consistent quarterback their receiver production would definitely be a lot better.

Are Iowa and ISU comparable in offensive style of play? Or does ISU compare better to Big 12 offenses?
