Ok what am i missing with our recruiting?

But im looking at our football commits....and
A) Not exactly world beater recruits
B) Didnt exactly beat out any good teams to get these kids

Heck...couple had ZERO other offers. Couple others we beat out teams that i wasnt even sure if they had a d1 level program.


What am i missing? I thought we'd have some good recruiting momentum....im not expecting 4 or 5 star talent....just curious why the length of time to get anyone, but then we get some pretty mediocre players to sign.

Our football team is mediocre at best if youre objectively looking at it. Our basketball team has justifiable reason to have momentum.

The coaches are recruiting and players a committing just like any other season. 5 guys committing in a month = momentum IMO

With the exception of the top players (5*) the rankings hold very little value.

I think it's a ligit question.

I am wondernig also. I realize we won't get 5 star recruits but we should be beating out similar type programs for recruits. We are not beating out anyone right now. We are some of them's only offer. BTW rankings do matter. You ever wonder why the top 10 schools in the country get ranked in recruiting in the top 10 and have more 4 and 5 star guys than everyone?
