It says a minimum of 8 years of in prison, but I would be willing to bet he gets out early

I think the 8 years is early. He 15 for the kidnapping alone. There were 10 counts total, all at least 12 months. A number of them will run concurrently.

If he wins the appeal, then he will be free. Not likely IMO.
