Please excuse my ignorance but in the flagrant 2 foul on WV did the technical on Grill negate Iowa State getting the ball like the rules say? I can see them getting free throws but the ball too?
Flagrant 2 -> ISU ball
Dead-ball offsetting technicals -> ISU ball
Grill technical -> WVU ball

His energy was so good the first half even Settles was complimentary. Jaz took his minutes second half despite not really contributing anything.
Kunc is good when 3 point shot is falling . When 3 pt is not falling like tonight, he is a liability on both offense and defense

Dude I agree with you that a lot of the ranting is over the top but this team looked like the best team in the conference after 7 games. Right now they are the worst team in the conference heading into the post season. It really has been an epic collapse.

Did you happen to catch other games/teams?

I think with Grill not getting injured ISU flips a couple of games but doing this penciling in of a conference title that some apparently did before the conference season is even half over was not a smart move.

At the time I defended Jaz and Caleb during the scrum. And while I wont blame them, they also have to know when you play West Virginia they're going to take cheap shots and play dirty. The coaches preach staying composed with the refs, but they didn't stay composed against the competition knowing West Virginia is a dirty team.
The whole thing helped WV, thru we’re back on their feet and we’re able to recoup a bit after that. Even though we did get back up by 7.

I hate to rag on Lipsey because he does a lot of good things but I don’t think it can be understated how bad having your primary ball handler being absolutely no threat to score outside 5 feet screws up our offense.

Not to upset because truthfully I figured before the season this is more the team we would be. Play tough defense and be able to stay in games but not exactly the offensive ability to get W's. We played above our potential early in the year and the guys deserve credit for that.

Bottom line is in TJ's first 2 years having to patch together a roster until he can get some long term studs is going to go to back to back ncaa tourney's.

This was a house money year.

Just looked WV last 12 points were 1 field goal and 10 free-throw. Sheesh.

So readjusted expectations...
This team never had the talent to compete at the top of the Big 12. TJs been pretty good, but that would be HOF ****.
And I said that at the time. I was here telling everyone to calm down because we weren't that team. Almost like yall should listen to me more because I call this **** way in advance

Where it becomes an issue for me is the constant blowing leads, home losses lesser teams, and having teams show up wanting to clown on you and just enacting their wills with ease. That's where it goes to unacceptable for me

Agree. Though to Lipseys credit, it's not his fault he's the best ball handler.

Yeah it was unforunate all around. I don't blame Kunc for reacting or Grill sticking up for his teammate, but at the same time you have to know West Virginia plays dirty and wants to bait you. Have to be smarter ultimately.

Funny thing is this team has been much more competitive than last years bunch in Big12 play. Big 12 is better this year vs last

Where the team ****** up was doing well in that tourney in Portland and winning a couple of early road games in the conference. Sonsabitchs, getting fans expectations skewed by doing that. :)

If we’re living in a world where @CoKane is telling people to calm down then all hope is lost.

Totally agree. He is an absolute offensive liability. Other teams don't even guard him from mid range (10-15 feet). He is a dreadful shooter, and teams know it. 4 vs 5 in our half court set.
