Reality has set in. We’re easily the worst team in the Big 12. The fast 4-0 start has masked a lot of deficiencies on this team. This is the worst Iowa State team in close games since Hoiberg’s first year. Like that team it’s just a lack of talent. Hats of to TJ and his staff for taking this 17-14 team to the NCAA tournament. I don’t care about Net rankings. At 17-14 and going 4-11 to end the season at best we should be an 11 seed in a play in game.

Game over. Another pathetic loss for ISU where they lose at home and blow it in the last 5 minutes. Whomever plays us in the first game of the big dance gets an easy win.

Same issue as last year. We just lucked out in the big dance last year playing an LSU team whose players were already making transfer plans and had an interim head coach there for 4 days before the game.
