Any of you fans that were frustrated for 35 minutes, you were absolutely justified in being frustrated, and I have no doubt you’re elated and relieved and proud of the win. Ignore the “holier than thou” crowd, because it’s silly. Passion is passion, and we all bleed Cardinal & Gold. Cyclones baby!

35 minutes is hyperbolic. First like 15 minutes for sure. We finally woke up before half and chipped away at their lead, having to overcome some particularly bad officiating and lucky bounces for VCU the team fought through

This game will be one hell of a learning experience for this team, which is always fun when you can get those and still get the W

That lineup we had in down the stretch was clutch.

That’s a pure guts victory right there. We played very poorly on offense and still got out of there with a win.

VCU was 10-23 from three and we still won making only two threes. That’s impressive.

I didn’t think we were out when Lipsey saved us at the end of the first half. This team can’t slump like this in conference play or we will be in trouble.

First road game that was against competition. A good team doesn’t fight back and win this. I doubt we will see many 13% shooting at the 1:00 mark in the first half. Lipsey put it to 22%. That was all nerves and a lot of missed bunnies.

What a perfect test. A team with lots of length, fighting through bad shooting and a comeback needed. Feel like the team adjusted well. Awesome to have a guy like Gilbert to pair with Tamin to just put so much pressure on the defense.
