We should be between 20-25

Got exposed tonight: we’re good, but not top 10-15 good.
Our single A walk-on linebackers got exposed tonight. I’m not even mad at them, but Gus and UCF have the two strengths that spell danger for our glaring weakness due to injury.

A great rb and a big, strong mobile qb.

Nuts and guts is what tonight was about.

Harder for longer.

So was that both the worst QB passing game of the last 10 years AND the best qb run game of the last 10 years?
Rocco is a determined son of a gun. I'm sure he felt terrible about the 2 picks (pick 6's no less). He just gutted it out and made play after play, when it counted.

It was fitting that he snuck in the winning score, and followed it up with the 2 point conversion. Amazing.

Admiration.

He's a Winner. Some of the most important stuff just doesn't show up in a player's "measurables."

What happened on the last drive was huge.
We have an OC that understands what he sees, as he went to qb runs since he could see Rocco had more success running than throwing! He called qb run and “ended” the game with a quick qb sneak which I don’t believe UCF was ready for.
Seeing this, I feel good.
Now let’s get healthy and keep winning!

It is refreshing to have so few penalties compared to the past years. Especially rarely having false starts. Is that winning in the margins or trusting the process?

I never doubted them until that 2nd interception. They seemed to be better Team all game except for a few plays but that was scary. Defense held when mattered just enough and Rocco delivered!
This is the Rocco game imo.

For him to be as “rocky” as he was, to have a couple drops from Jaylin, two pick sixes, to stay composed and show up big in crunch time?

Brass balls.

Earlier this week I was wondering why the spread was so low, then started hearing pro money was on UCF, Vegas models really sensed this one.

Can’t recall seeing a play where it looked like he was hurt but something had to be up. I think he played a bit early in the second half but not much.
My best guess is a pulled hammy on the long TD run but like you I saw nothing that really stood out

And for the record, we’ve had better, more experienced linebackers that would’ve struggle against this look tonight.

UCF’s approach is ISU’s 335 kryptonite.
