I think there were at least two that were probably 23-24' (Holmes left side and Felix off the dribble up top) and I would consider those long range.
I agree, he should be miserable that we couldn't give one away today, like most of us.
I don't want him to enjoy the shoddy win. I want him to be disappointed that this team isn't playing up to their potential.
But...he probably said the pc thing. In private maybe he's seething...I hope.
GunnerClone...what are you talking about. We beat a ranked team...it will go as a good win against a good team. Texas didn't quit and made a game of it because they're a good team and didn't quit. Just like us against Tech. We didn't quit and almost pulled that out.
I think people need to come back to reality for a few minutes and understand that no team beats every opponent by 20 points. This Texas squad is damn good and will probably be in the Sweet Sixteen. So lets just be happy and enjoy a win instead of complaining that we didn't win by 30. Fred's approach is exactly what this team needs. (15-4) (5-2) #15 think about those things before you start complaining.
That was the best the offense has run all season. Great shot selection and patience all around. Really glad to see that, and the defense came to play for most of the game. I'm very happy with this game even though everyone seems to want to freak out because Texas made their way back into the game. Do you expect ISU to hold off a team that talented for an entire half? No way.
It's a long season. They had a short turnaround coming back from Lubbock. I suspect they all could use some rest.
If Felix and Myles Turner play the way they did tonight they will. Texas will still finish 10-8 and be a 5 seed in the tournament. Would you take Texas or Wichita State in a matchup? Their size is going to be devastating to alot of teams and the zone defense is pretty salty.
Wut? ISU had a 15ish point lead most of the game. Teams don't win by 20 in conference play against another ranked team very often. C'mon dude. That was one of the best games of the season until the last 3 minutes. Wow. Gotta find something to complain about.
