A team that averages 30% from the arc was chucking up long range 3's and they were going in. What are you suppose to do? When you defend Texas, your attention should be focused on the paint.

Exactly. This feels nothing like a loss.

They had 42 points in the last 10 minutes! Wow!

Now that is some horrible defense no matter how you look at it folks. They would have scored 168 points on us if we had played defense like that all night.

Taylor scored 15 pts in the final 8 minutes. Felix scored 16 in the second half.

beat a top 20 team and people are ******, I swear some of you guys would ***** about a free brick of gold being too heavy. That was a hell of a win, should never feel bad after a loss. These teams aren't going to just lay down for you.

Other teams can't up their games, we can only let ours down.

Taylor was getting to the rim at will because we weren't helping off of guys at the 3 point line. Felix and Holmes both made really deep threes. It would really suck to lose a game like this, but I don't know why this should feel like a loss.

whats that for? Stating stats doesnt sit well with you bud? Yes again well aware BDJ has actually twice not 3 times the minutes. If you are going to argue you want BDJ at the free throw line vs Thomas than you are crazy
Your argument is stupid. A.J. Price turns the ball over less than per game than Lebron James. I guess he should play more than Lebron according to your bogus argument.

They played great people and beat a top 20 team. Scored more points on them than Kentucky, played unselfish... you people have a lot to complain about. It was a W now go to bed

They hit 12 out of 15 3pts in the 2nd half. Kentucky would of lost a lead to that kind of shooting.

I think you are missing the point. ISU is allowing this shooting percentage. Same thing happened at Baylor and TTU. It's not a fluke anymore.

This is a poor defensive team. They are not a final four team.

You're right, we should only get a 3/4 win for this one. So what are we now 4 3/4 - 2 1/4 in the conference now.

Way to go out on a limb and go against the odds.

Again BDJ has more turnovers on the season than Matt

Why don't you go have a seat over there and think about what you just said.

Yeah, well...leave a DI scholarship athlete wide open and that's what happens. It was just mind boggling to watch how lazy ISU got on defense over the last six minutes.

I hope Hoiberg can figure out how to keep these guys motivated for 40 minutes against TCU.

...it's a bit much when I started to think this team might have started to turn a new leaf (effort). They looked like a team that wanted to an opponent in their place for about 33 minutes, and then bad habits showed up late.

One thing's for sure: TCU isn't going to come in afraid to play in Hilton Saturday, and CAN beat ISU if those bad habits don't at least start to become less frequent.

Felix for Texas is a hell of a player. Not sure why he didn't play the lion share of the game. I like the kid. Maybe something we don't know behind the scenes.

Even worse, they went on a 10-2 run in about 1:00 of game time. That would've made it 400-80 if they played like that all nite. I don't think there's any doubt that we're the worst theoretical D team in the country. Also, don't know why, but I blame BDJ for no reason and Royce for not sweating and Clyburn for not showing emotion, and Lucious for a reason I don't remember.

Here nor there
They actually weren't bad threes. They were wide open threes. Luckily it didn't matter in the outcome unless you bet on ISU to cover.

We would not have made 7 in a row on those looks. Hell, both teams would have trouble hitting 7 in a row during warm-ups. They were not wide open, they also were not well-defended.

Our defense will never be great until we have the personnel to put 5 good defenders out there. As frustrating as it is to see UT shoot 10-14 on 3Ps in the second half, we have to give a poor 3P team that shot or else they would murder us down low. A lot if our issues on defense start with defending protecting our small frontcourt.

Texas scored 61 in the 2nd half. Yikes
That is awful -- but it really was the last 3.5 minutes that was completely unacceptable, IMHO. The only thing positive about tonight is the last 3.5 minutes happened AT THE END of the game. Too often, it's been the first 3.5 minutes of our games (& particularly in our losses) that we've played this poorly.
