Yep. We somehow went from escaping UCF and “I’m struggling to see us lose a game” to losing in reverse fashion to Tech to “We suck. We might split the last four games but I don’t see it.”

I have no idea, but I wish we could just be reasonable. Are Kansas State fans saying they aren't winning again tonight?

And hell, we almost pulled out this one.

We are probably never winning a game again.
Ha! Didn’t say that. Before this game I had the two Kansas schools as the ones I was worried about. Ku is a good team just happen to have lost all of their games in crazy fashion. They destroyed Houston and had ksu beat. I am sticking with 2-2 to finish .

Right? I mean, we had a fourth down for the game against Tech. We make that stop and everyone is all “team of destiny, we just find a way, I don’t see us losing” blah blah blah.

So the post-game article says win or and we're in. Do we know tiebreaker? If colorado and byu win out, do we get in over Colorado? What if byu drops a game so its a 3 way race?

We were the least penalized team coming into this game. How is this a typical game for us?
It looked like a typical Campbell team, from any other year in his tenure. Meaning, consistently losing in the margins, in all phases, all game.

Anyone know the strategy behind why we declined the 10 second runoff? There would have been only 18 seconds left instead of 28. Seems like having more time opened up Tech's playbook to continue running the ball and also the clock didn't start on the ready for play. Sure it was nice to have 20 seconds left after they scored to try to respond but in the end it didn't matter.

Tech still had at least 1 TO if I remember right so I doubt it would have changed their strategy.

If ISU wins 10 games, I will be happy.
If ISU makes the Big Xii CCG, I will be very happy.
If ISU wins the Big Xii CCG, I will be jubilant.
If ISU makes the CFP, I am going to look for a bomb shelter.

I thought you had to take the 5 yards. TT had 2 timeouts left and they would have gotten in for sure in that amount of time.

It looked like a typical Camobell team, from any other year in his tenure. Meaning, consistently losing in the margins, in all phases, all game.
My biggest complaint with Campbell teams is a lack of toughness. There’s “talk” about it but no action. He talks about it but the program doesn’t show toughness.

Yep. I get it sucks, and we should not be losing games like we did today. BUT until we can’t win the Big 12, it’s all in front of us. Win next week and get back on the good foot.

I think it was that they had two time outs and 3 plays. And we probably wanted some time left on the clock. We hit one 20 yard pass down field and were in miracle field goal range.

Not a football coach but it made sense on the surface. I think if Tech has only one TO (or obviously zero) we take the run off.

And they were so close to the end zone. It was inside the 1. I liked our chances better from the 6.

aight I’ll be back mid week next week

this is dumb

PEACE

I knew it would be bad. But I'm surprised a bit at how bad.

When you are on a streak like we were, a loss is going to ******* hurt. I've been telling people that I wasn't going to regret getting excited about the team even after they eventually lost. And I'm not. But, I was still pretty devastated.

Oh for ****'s sake. Today was bad. This season, they've consistently won in the margins.

Fans are so ******* stupid.
Today was bad, and today we consistently did not win in the f***ing margins. It reminded me, and many of their stupid fans like me, of the many stupid-ass losses we’ve had over the years due to - you guessed it - losing in the f***ing margins (like we did today, in the loss, to f***ing Texas Tech).

For f***s sake! :p
