Nate's taken some heat, and some is justifiable, but today was a good day for him.
Get us some boards, make a couple buckets, stick on D. That's what we need when we have a healthy roster and that's what he gave us.
He should've had an additional 3-4 assists today too. Got let down by both 5s on good passes under the hoop

The team today resembled their old selves. Played loose maybe a little too loose at times. A few too many turnovers but can’t complain with a double digit win

Partly that.

Like today though, if they wait maybe a second longer on some of those PnRs there's actually a lane there.
You have to pass fake or threaten a drive. And if you're the big, you can't drift on the roll. Terrible execution on both ends. But it looked like TCU gameplanned to bait that pass and attack the roller. We fell into the same trap 4 or 5 times.

Can never complain about winning a conf game in a blowout. Great game Cyclones. Guys seemed more focused, Milan shot the ball well, Cujo got his shooting touch back. Def was pretty good at times. We just need to be sharper with our passing and decision making.
Yeah the TOs are about the only thing that was concerning today. Would really like that to get cleaned up. Especially since the goal is a final 4

I think Heise should have put it up on the board a couple of those drives instead of passing. Even if he missed, it looked like Chatfield or Jackson had position for an offensive rebound.

Glad to see him put the ball on the floor.

Not sure how much I should take away from this since TCU is so bad, but man is it nice to win a game comfortably
They are a pretty good defensive team
Nice test for the offense that got all its parts operating. Chewed them up pretty bad

Get rid of unforced turnovers and ISU might win by 40

Sure hope that Tamin continues to heal, and is at full throttle by the B12 t'ment. We know he's hurt, but man, is he showing character out there - and helping his team in the process. He's on the floor for 29 minutes for a reason; if all you do is judge players by the box score, then you are missing a lot of what Tamin - and others - are contributing.

It's interesting, of not ironic that the primary point guard for both the men's and women's teams are hurting but they are both showing great character and leadership. The men have a huge advantage due to greater depth at the point.

Obviously, nice to see Milan back. Even better that he was so effective in the second half. Gives the opposition something to think about going forward.

We would be lethal if we had the Tamin of last March. He was shooting it so well. It doesn't feel like he'll be able to get back to that level of play, but he's still a huge part of what we do.
