With a night to sleep on it, my biggest takeaway now is simply this: starting 12-0 was the worst thing that could've happened for our fan base
It was fun though. Still is. Losing is bringing us back to reality. They haven't forgotten how to play. Unfortunately they forget how to shoot at times.

I almost wonder if that is the offense TJ ran at South Dakota. Seems like something that would work great with a Mike Daum, but not so much our bigs.
That could be true. If so, Enaruna would be a better choice than either Jones or Conditt. He can put it on the floor and hit the outside shot.
Good points. I think that TJ is a student of the game and I think is willing to adapt/change when needed.

I think/hope people will be surprised what offensive schemes TJ comes up with in the next few years, especially as he recruits his players.

They are shooting like ISU did against TCU, less than 30% from the field and 0-10 from 3.
Funny what happens when you miss shots

Yes, I keep trying to analyze what this beatdown at home by TCU (by a team we recently beat) really means. My mind keeps going towards the "I think it means we are in trouble" direction, but maybe it is as simple as Texas made the shots and we didn't vs. TCU. Is it that simple, tho?

Probably a little something to do with a let down game following a rare road Big 12 win. That and TCU is pretty meh.

I said when TJ was hired that ISU was going to have to recruit top two or three in conference if we want to finish midpack because I knew we'd be outcoached so much.

Our record as it stands currently, shows that TJ has done a great coaching job. This roster probably does not sniff NCAA tourney with bad coaching.

I'm trying to think back, of our good nonconference wins, how many of those teams were at full strength? I think Memphis was.

Sorry, Murray was injured.
Yeah, I think his performance in that game had more to do with IB making him his ***** than any injury. The more we've seen of Iowa that wasn't that good of a win or that surprising of a performance. Iowa is Charmin soft.

ISU with a decent offense wins that one by like 40.

Also that was the game where the turnovers on the wings started.

Iowa was missing their best player. Xavier was missing a starter.

I didn't include Xavier. I did include Creighton.
Unless you're talking about Garza, Iowa was not missing their best player.
