Does TJ need to shake things up a bit and go back to a starting lineup similar to early season:

Lipsey
Holmes
Kalscheur (Bring Grill off bench instead)
Kunc
Osunniyi

IMO opposing coaches have caught up and are figuring ways to scramble our trapping defense to get good shots or create fouls because guys are out of position and playing defense with their hands.

Maybe if you are going to play Rob, start him that way there is less chance for him to shoot free throws.

He hasn’t struggled, he has been invisible offensively the last two games. He can’t disappear, this team needs him to hunt his shot.
Gabes biggest problem is he's vertically challenged. He can't finish at the rim or in the paint in traffic or against a bigger opponent

As critical as TJ was about attitude and effort tonight I would have loved to see him go to Watson or Ward. See if you can get a spark while lighting a fire under some of your more regular players.

TCU is a must win to ensure tourney berth.
I read something today that showed us at 100% to make the tournament. We have too many quality wins not to make it. I’d certainly prefer we don’t make it interesting but if you look at how bad the bubble is I can’t see any way we don’t make it with the wins we have.

Sticking at 16 wins and getting in would be pretty wild.

Let's just hope it doesn't come to that.

Thoughts from being at the game:

1. OSU is a bad match-up.
2. Won't win many with all of Grill/Gabe/Holmes being off.
3. Whatever we do at halftime isn't working.
4. If we have an early exit in March, it will likely to piss poor free-throw shooting.
I'd be a bit concerned if we end getting a 4 or 5 seed. We'd be a trendy pick to be upset given the areas we struggle in. I'd love to end up getting a 7 seed

It would be great if Lipsey was a better jump shooter. That that hasn't really hurt the Clones.

Look at the last 2 games, Lipsey was very effective scoring off dribble penetration. When we play Lipsey with Kalscheur, Holmes and Grill- just don't feel Lipsey needs to be a 3 point shooter from a spacing perspective.

If anything, the fact Lipsey is our leading scorer the last 2 games is probably a bigger issue.
Jaz and Lipsey were leading scorers and only ones to shoot more than 50% from the freaking free throw line. Lipsey’s outside shooting is pretty far down the list of problems right now. Even if we have a lead we won’t keep it if we can’t shoot free throws.

Jaz should be starting again. Probably instead of Grill. Will see how he responds at Texas, they were pretty worked up about him taking out a rebounder in the air, more than his yelling at their coach.

I agree...but the fact the field is just sooooo bad around the bubble I guess while I wouldn't love seeing that play out...with our resume, even losing a ton down the stretch, the metrics and our huge wins would STILL be better than likely all teams in the 9-12 seed range.

Just watch back that sequence with Grill.

A couple things, 1) he should never have engaged Asberry at the Ft line. 2) he should have probably gotten kicked out for his foul after his missed free throw. If not kicked out, at minimum a Flagrant 1. And 3) you know you are acting like a total idiot when your own coach apologizes to the opposing coach for you being an idiot. TJ apologized to Boyton after that whole sequence.

Grill got cooked.

never thought he would melt down

Taunting Texas like he did is just the mirror image of what happened today - the inability to control one's emotions. It's the same impulse, it's just that he was on the winning side of the equation that day.
