Here nor there
Some posters are so negative after one lose, this was a bad match-up for us, comparable to KU this year imo,. We can't expect to shot 30% and be in a game we have horrible match ups with on the defensive side...... How many damn layups did we miss.... I get the 3 pt shooting hurts too but open layups hurt me more......
Only the ones with outlandish expectations. We were two shots from being 9-9 in the Big 12 last year and came very, very close from having several more losses in the non-conference. We had vulnerabilities last year that great offense masked. From that team we lost two All-Americans that were our leaders, if not our best players.

IF we do end up as good or better as last season, it will take role players from last year becoming much better than a year ago, as well as newcomers adjusting. In other words, it will take time and may not happen at all.

Lol, I think you might actually be the coolest guy on CF.

Reading is hard though, isn't it?
Someone got defensive real quick. I figured we would lose early games since our teams can never get their **** together at the start of a season. You could give people time to get the frustration out of their systems on a message board, which is one of the great things they are for in case you didn't know, instead of trying to push yourself above everyone else with stupid *** comments like the one saying people don't deserve Hoiball. If fans releasing anger is too much for you maybe you shouldn't be on the internet.

I'm trying to stay positive. Bad game, but we all know we're better than this. Flukey night, in my opinion. Worst part of it is that we have to wait a whole week to get this crappy taste out of our mouths.

As fans that sucks. But for the team, having to stew on this for 7 days could be the best thing that happens to them

I have no reason to be defensive. If you aren't able to comprehend the difference between being frustrated with the way this team played tonight during a bad game, and the level of over the top nonsense we saw during the game thread, and how ridiculous it was, there isn't much to help you.

It is the same **** from the same people. They spend all their time jerking each other off about how awesome we are going to be, and the second adversity hits, they are the biggest emos, no offense there Dashboard Confessional

Technically that number should be lower considering UConn is a non conference opponent.

EDIT: Disregard the following post --- I was researching "records vs. unranked teams" instead of non-conference when I wrote this post .... NOW I'll shut up.

Oops -- completely forgot UConn was unranked at the time.

Easy to forget, considering they won the title.

Let's say "first non-conference non-NCAA tournament loss." There,that works :)

Note: It was actually 718 days. I was off a day.

So I should just shut up already.

I get what you're saying about the people screaming NIT everywhere, but seriously, have you been to one of these gameday threads before? Since when have they ever been logical or thought well thought out. Give people time to get over it a little bit before antagonizing them over it. Is that too hard? And if you are going to make snide comments in everyone one of your posts please be more creative. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be offended or not right now.

Remember in 2nd grade when you traveled or double dribbled to get under the basket and then threw it up as hard as you could hoping it might go in?
