Motor mouth and his ESPN cronies are saying Kentucky wins due to their "length"; they predict that Kentucky will shutdown our outside game and suffocate us in the middle. Seems to me that we already beat one team with "length". I know Baylor isn't Kentucky, but I predict it will be a similar experience.

For Kentucky this will be game #155 in the NCAA tourny. #26 for ISU.

This would be an unreal, monumental, unimaginable victory! Im ready for it!

(not to bring Iowa into the convo. but) Hey, I remember when they did it to Duke back in the day, I was literally floored. Cyclones could pull it off, but it's going to come down to being mentally and physically prepared. KU (so I've been told) has been focusing heavily on UConn. WELL THAT'S JUST NOT THE CASE NOW ANYMORE IS IT???!!!

Re: ***Official Kentucky Prediction Thread: WHY ISU WINS THIS GAME ***

Does anyone else get the feeling ISU hasn't played its best game yet this season? I do. When I watch them, I always feel there's more offense in the tanks waiting to explode. Plus...

I believe ISU plays to the level of the competition. Add in that UK is incredibly talented, but young, and I think we shock the college basketball world.

ISU 74 - UK 68

Welcome to the Sweet 16 fellas.

I would like to see us utilize some zone against UK. Without bothering to look up the stats it seems like one of there weaknesses has been outside shooting and this could help keep bigs out of foul trouble.

Sucks this is a home game for them for several reasons..ticket prices for saturday are ridiculous. Those bastards are jacking up the prices.

And ISU 83
UK 82

You know what, for some reason this doesn't bother me that much. ISU has absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain by playing UK. I think our guys will respond well and not get too rattled. If they do start to let the game get away a bit, Fred will call a timeout and set things straight.

Such an uber opportunity for our young coach and revitalized program to make a name for its self.

Does anyone think that Pat Reily (GM Miami Heat) was there to watch his future coach and not just lottery picks?

I bet Goerges is loving the win tonight. It probably makes more sense to those that look perplexed when he tells them he chose to attend ISU and play for the Mayor.

Number of tournament games in the two schools' history is irrelevant. If anything it's Chris Allen 15... Kentucky team 15ish.

Look at the two teams that beat them this year. One big man and four guards with at least one sharpshooter... we have like six shooters. It will be a close one.

Obviously its irrelevant regarding how we can win the game. It is not irrelevant as to how big of a win this would be.

The 2 games that Kentucky lost had one common theme... they got out rebounded.

I can agree with that. I just feel as though our shooters may give them problems despite their length.

Agreed. We've beaten Baylor with their length, UCONN with their length, and KU as well.

This game could end up being one of the most epic basketball games in ISU history.

My nightmare is we get blown out. Royce has 23-11-10. Announces that he's going pro after the game.

Pat Riley is a Kentucky legend whose jersey hangs in the Rupp Arena rafters. He attends UK games whenever he can. But, of course, he was there to scout future NBA players also.

Ahhh, interesting. I'd forgotten his past.

Here's to the announcers commenting that the game looks like the JV team playing the Varsity!
