So I have no idea what everyone else's experience with the Virginia fan base was like, but many was totally worthless. Me and my family were up in a box at the top level next to a skybox full of 30-something UVA fans, who decided it was hilarious to take Snapchats and videos of us cheering, like we wouldn't notice when the flash keeps going off in our directions.

Then, at the end of the game, we go to leave the box, and I can't find my hat. As we're walking past their open door, I see some guy taking pictures in it with his buddy and having a high old time. Preppy f*****s came into our room while we were watching the Gonzaga game and snagged it from behind us. As a gangly 18 year old, I'm not used to being intimidating in any way, but I've never seen a room of a buncha preppy washed up frat stars get quiet that fast when I had to walk in, throw the dude an elbow and take my hat back. Unbelievable.

Yes, UVA was hot early, but sh###y calls against ISU did hurt them. Refs are humans. They know which team is favored. They know the point spread. They know the score. They know who has momentum. They feel the crowd. They know when they can call meaningless fouls on a team before the other team nails a momentum changing(or continuing) shot. They hear the coaches. They know who the stars are (which blows my mind with the fouls on Niang). They know. They're not robots.

What BS.

I'm just so ****** how we came out with a terrible defensive plan in the first 5 minutes and had zero effort until midway through the first half. This game was winnable, but we voluntarily gave it away immediately. This team was like the smart lazy kid in school. Has all the potential and from time to time will show how good they can be, but usually disappoints. I'm not asking for a championship, just better effort. We came out so flat to start the game, you wonder what prohm said to really Rev them up. The fans showed up but the team did not.

I will forever miss niang. Nader and McKay? Not so much.

Next year's team l think will look like one of those early 2000s Villanova teams. Perimeter heavy.

Prohm should have pushed these guys harder to play a certain way this week. I thought all week we should try to slow the slow playing Virginia down to start. nope we try to speed them up and they rolled us early. We played with terrible pace all game. Yes and Fred was a distraction as I figured he would be; the guy seems depressed and depressed people are terrible motivators.

Now Virginia is an excellent team so we may have lost even if we played better. We reverted to old habits va Virginia; credit to them.

Can't believe how bad the refs were at certain points during the game. Not at all why we lost but the refs certainly didnt help. Three and ones for Virginia when our player didnt even touch the Virginia player, and the over and back right in front of the refs. Should have been a closer game if we had gotten a few calls to go our way.

Any of you techs able to put together a video collage of the phantom foul calls? Several were on the replays. In addition to the ones on Niang I remember call on Nader, which replay showed was no contact. Maybe add the Niang drive near the end when he is hacked all the way to the basket.

This is not surprising given what I saw at the game. 30 year old and his wife were obnoxious the entire game. Everytime ISU got called for a foul the guy would yell "great call". Guy was wearing his frat pin and suit coat. Complete tool.
